Not far from River City, where the beleaguered townspeople worried about an invasion of teenage pool players, strange things are happening in Riverdale, Illinois. A huge, seemingly alien structure has been found jutting out of the earth. Sent to investigate the origin of the mysterious object, a civic-minded senator discovers that parasites from the center of the earth have infiltrated the town, taking control of authorities and workers, making communication with the outside world impossible, and leaving the responsibility of stopping the invasion up to him and a small group of free individuals. This is a US one-sheet poster. The film was directed by Bruno VeSota and starred Ed Nelson, the same fellow who starred in Devil's Partner as the man who could transform himself into a snake or a horse, but could not evade retribution by angry local people who were upset that he was casting spells.
