This is a 27" x 39" undated rerelease Egyptian film poster made by an unknown designer to promote the 1961 Youssef Chahine 104-minute black-and-white film A Lover's Call [neda' al-'oshaq] starring Berlanty Abdel Hamid based on a story by Abdel Hay Adib adapted from the 1946 King Vidor film Duel in the Sun with screenplay by Abdel Hay Adib and Wagih Naguib, dialogue by Behgat Kamar and cinematography by Alvisy Orphanily. Plot summary: Ward [Berlanty Abdel Hamid] was an attractive dancer in the Nile Delta village of Sonbat who found a job ginning cotton in a factory. There she caught the eye of the factory's owner Metwaly [Farid Shawqi], as well as his brother Abduh [Shukry Sarhan], but she gave her heart to Abduh. Ward and Abduh then went through a harrowing series of violent misadventures until both are killed at the hands of the Abduh's jeslous brother.
