Plot summary: The father of Samia [Samia Gamal] was in a severe financial crisis and decided to sell his house to get out of it. Samia's boyfried Adel [Imad Hamdi] tried to prevent this by paying off her father's debt, but was unable to do so before the house was sold, and to make matters more complicated, Samia also told him she no longer wanted to be in a relationship with him.

One of these warlords is none other than the Byzantine emperor. On the way to fight the emperor Battal gets into a fight with the Christian knight Hammer, who is the greatest of the Christians. Hammer loses when Battal fights him and then converts to Islam. After that he and Gazi become the best of friends.

Plot summary: In January 1965 Mohammad Andarzgoo and a few other people wait in front of the Parliament Building to assassinate Prime Minister Hassan Ali Mansour. The assassination is a success but all the assassins are arrested and executed after much investigation, with the exception of Andarzgoo. SAVAK agents are trying to catch Andarzgoo because they consider him one of the main planners of the assassination. However he disguises himself and continues the resistance. He is almost arrested several times, and each time this happens he has to move with his family to another city or village. At last the SAVAK surround his home and he is martyred in a fierce gunfight.

The story is based on an account of the voyage written by a passenger on Soleiman's ship named Shazan ibn Yusuf [Bahram Radan] in 11 BC.

Plot summary: This is a moody and tense film about a journalist couple named Kasra and Forukh [Hossein Yari and Mehraveh Sharifinia] whose publication may lose its office space as they work to unravel an old mystery. Their problems are complicated with an offer for support from a Swedish financier with contingency requirements that are not clear. This problem is eliminated when the financier withdraws the offer for unexplained reasons and the government bans the two of them from leaving the country, again for unexplained reasons. Those problems are apparently resolved, but other problems replace them.

Plot summary: The lives of two prosperous families are falling apart. Things happen in the life of a 19-year-old girl named Ava in one of the families [Baran Kosari] that expose many secrets in the lives of the people in the story.

Poster warning in top left corner: The topic of this film is social pathology; it is not recommended for people under the age of 16.

As the film begins this quote appears in white letters against a black background: "All happy families are all alike; each unhappy family is unhappy in its own way." Leo Tolstoy, Anna Karenina Chapter 1.

Some conservative religious groups in Iran including the Ansar-e Hezbollah protested the screening of this film and demanded the revocation of its exhibition license. The film was edited to accomodate these protests.
