This is an undated 14" x 21" Belgian poster for the 1933 Hal Roach and Charley Rogers film The Devil's Brother based on an adaptation by Jeanie Macpherson and starring Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy as Stanlio and Ollio. The boys are robbed on their life savings, then fail when they try to rob the notorious bandit Fra Diavolo [Dennis King], who first resolves to kill them, then takes them on as his personal servants. In that capacity they carry him in a sedan chair disguised as the Marquis de San Marco and he attempts to rob Lord Rocburg [James Finlayson], but things don't go well.

This s 27" x 41" US one-sheet poster for the 1961 Charles R. Rondeau film The Devil's Partner based on a story by Stanley Clements and Laura Jean Mathews and starring Ed Nelson as both Nick Richards and Pete Jensen. This film was made in 1958 but was not released until 1961 when it came out as a double feature with Creature from the Haunted Sea, released by the Roger and Gene Corman Filmgroup. Plot summary: In the town of Furnace Flats, an old man named Pete Jensen dies soon after performing an act of sorcery in his cabin. Immediately thereafter Nick Richards comes to town on a bus, claiming Pete, who had not been liked by the people of Furnace Flats, was his uncle. The sheriff [Spencer Carlisle] tells him about Pete's death. Nick decides to move into his uncle's cabin and remain in Furnace Flats, where he himself starts doing sorcery, appearing in the guise of local livestock and wildlife to do malicious acts of vengeance against some of his late uncle's former neighbors. In one scene, a man buys 6.5 gallons of gasoline for $2.30!

This is a 39" x 54" Italian two-sheet poster for a 1973 Italian rerelease of the 1972 Jun Fukuda film Godzilla vs. Gigan AKA Godzilla on Monster Island (the name of the film for its 1978 US release) based on a story by Takeshi Kimura and starring Hiroshi Ishikawa as Gengo Kotaka. The poster incorrectly says this film was directed by Ishiro Honda. Plot summary: While working at World Children's Land as a Manga cartoonist, Gengo Kotaka unexpectedly discovers a plan by giant insectoid aliens from a dying planet to colonize the earth. The plan's first step is to wipe out human civilization with the aid of the space monsters Gigan and King Ghidorah. When Gengo and his friends play the plan's action signal, Godzilla and Anguirus hear it. Realizing something is amiss, Godzilla sends Anguirus to Tokyo to investigate, but Japanese defensive forces do not realize his friendly intentions and drive him away. When Godzilla returns to Tokyo with Anguirus, they have to fight Gigan and King Ghidorah to save the earth.

Deep Blue Sea (1955) - (Vivien Leigh) Argentine one-sheet

This is a 29" x 43" Argentine one-sheet for the 1955 Anatole Litvak film The Deep Blue Sea based on play and screenplay by Terence Rattigan and starring Vivien Leigh as Hester Collyer and Kenneth More as Freddie Page. The design of this Argentine poster is derived directly from that of the US one-sheet, shown in the Wikipedia article about this film. Plot summary: Hester Collyer, who is not happy in her lackluster marriage, succumbs to the amorous advances of a dashing test pilot named Freddie Page. The two of them have an opportunity to spend time together when Hester's husband Judge William Collyer [Emlyn Williams] goes away for a month. Page is soon deeply conflicted because of the problems with his relationship with another man's wife. Off the screen, Kenneth More was also reportedly unhappy with the casting of Leigh because he felt she was wrong for the role. Despite these problems, for his work in this film More won the Venice Film Festival's Volpi Cup for best actor.

Pictured above are a 27" x 39" Egyptian poster and a 26.5" x 38.5" Italian poster for the 1983 Kurt Raab film Prison Camp Girls AKA Escape from Blood Plantation, Island of the Bloody Plantation and Jailed for Love with the original German title Die Insel der blutigen Plantage. The Egyptian poster is a 1987 rerelease using art by Mohammad Abdel Ghani, printed by Al-Qods Printers in Cairo's Bulaq District and distributed by the Arabic Films Company on Abdel Khaleq Tharwat Street. Both posters are based on the same design but the Egyptian poster adds a painted image of a still and the inset in the Italian poster is a picture of Udo Kier. The film is based on a story by director Kurt Raab and stars Udo Kier as Hermano. Plot summary: At a women's prison camp in the South Pacific the inmates are systematically raped, tortured and abused, but a guard falls in love with one of them and allies himself with the cause of the prisoners.

Plot summary: Desiree is a poacher living deep in the Louisiana swamps. Two deputies catch her in the act and give chase, hoping to extract sexual favors but one of them accidentally shoots the other and then blames Desiree when he goes home. The sheriff and his deputies go to Desiree's family home in the forest demanding information about her whereabouts but end up killing her sister Julie [Janit Baldwin] instead. An enraged Desiree and her mute little brother silently follow the intruders moving among the trees, turning the remainder of the sheriff's swamp excursion into a living hell.

Both posters are by unknown designers. Plot summary: This film was the sequel to the 1975 Death Race 2000, but it did not do as well at the box office. In a scenario set in the distant future, a city state called Helix is planning war against Tritan, another city state. They intend to use a new weapon they call Death Machines, or laser-equipped dirt bikes. Deathsport is the new version of the death penalty in Helix. This game has replaced such events as the Olympics and the Superbowl; in it convicted criminals fight to the death for their freedom. Lord Zirpola of Helix [David McClean] captures the notorious desert ranger Kaz Oshay for a fight to the death in one of the Deathsport matches.

This is a 14" x 20.5" Belgian poster for the 1967 Frank G. Carroll film Danger!! Death Ray based on story and screenplay by Juan Antonio Cabezas and starring Gordon Scott as Bart Fargo. Plot summary: This is an Italian Eurospy film. A scientist named Jean Carl Michael [Tullio Altamura] has invented a death ray, which he says is for peaceful purposes. A group of enemy agents pretending to be NATO officials steal the device and kidnap him while he is demonstrating it to some real NATO representatives. Just as he is about to go on vacation, agent Bart Fargo gets the job of retrieving the death ray and rescuing the scientist. On a lead, he goes to Madrid in search of the organization that may be behind the theft. As if there were any need for it, this film gives us lots of reasons for appreciating those early James Bond films. Gordon Scott was great as Tarzan and Hercules, but he doesn't pull it off as a secret agent.

This is a 26.5" x 39" Turkish one-sheet poster for the 1975 Paul Bartel film Death Race 2000 based on a story by Ib Melchior, screenplay by Robert Thom and Charles Griffith and starring David Carradine as Frankenstein. Plot summary: This is a dystopian science fiction sports film set in the year 2000 with a government-sponsored road race where the participants use cars that have drivers and navigators and score points by killing pedestrians, with the point values set according to age and sex. All pedestrians are valid targets, including race officials and mechanics. Frankenstein has lost most of his jaw, his nose, his right and left eyes and most of his cranium. He wears a leather hood and his head is held together with patches of plastic and steel plates. A resistance group led by Thomasina Paine [Harriet Medin] seeks to sabotage the race, kill most of the drivers and take Frankenstein hostage. She is aided in this by her great granddaughter Annie [Simone Griffeth], who is also Frankenstein's navigator.

This is a US 27" x 40" one-sheet poster for the 1981 Peter R. Hunt film Death Hunt based on a fictionalized account by Michael Grais and Mark Victor and starring Charles Bronson as Albert Johnson and Lee Marvin as Sergeant Edgar Millen. Plot summary: The film tells with significant deviance from the facts the true story of Albert Johnson, who was known as the Mad Trapper of Rat River. In 1931, Albert Johnson is a reclusive trapper in the Yukon Territory who witnesses an organized dogfight during one of his trips to town. When one of the dogs, a white German Shepherd named Sitka, is severely injured, Johnson takes the dog by force and pays its owner Hazel [Ed Lauter] $200. Hazel claims his dog has been stolen and leads some friends to Johnson's isolated cabin. A shootout ensues in which Sitka and one of Hazel's men named Jimmy Tom [Denis Lacroix] are killed. Johnson is accused of murder and Sergeant Millen goes after him with a posse.

The Germans in the area are looking for the pilots of some British and American aircraft that have been shot down. When Therese hitches a ride on a truck carrying some goats, she discovers the pilots are hiding in the back with the goats. She decides to help them board a train for Paris where they can find refuge in a safehouse, but the safehouse is unable to accommodate the American.

Gannaway and Ismael Rodriguez film Daniel Boone, Trail Blazer based on screenplay by Tom Hubbard and John Patrick and starring Bruce Bennett as Daniel Boone. Plot summary: In 1775 during the American War of Independence Shawnee indians are besieging the fort in Boonesborough Kentucky because they believe Boone and other settlers are there to kill them and steal their land. The film depicts the fight for survival by Boone and his family after talks fail with the Shawnee. These trailblazer fighters and their families are also crooners who occasionally interrupt their rugged frontier routines to render heroic ballads.
