Gannaway and Ismael Rodriguez film Daniel Boone, Trail Blazer based on screenplay by Tom Hubbard and John Patrick and starring Bruce Bennett as Daniel Boone. Plot summary: In 1775 during the American War of Independence Shawnee indians are besieging the fort in Boonesborough Kentucky because they believe Boone and other settlers are there to kill them and steal their land. The film depicts the fight for survival by Boone and his family after talks fail with the Shawnee. These trailblazer fighters and their families are also crooners who occasionally interrupt their rugged frontier routines to render heroic ballads.
