Only the Valiant (1951) - (Gregory Peck) Argentine one-sheet

This is a 29" x 43" Argentine one-sheet poster for the 1951 Gordon Douglas film Only the Valiant AKA Fort Invincible based on the 1943 Charles Marquis Warren novel Only the Valiant with screenplay by Edmund H. North and Harry Brown and starring Gregory Peck as Captain Richard Lance. Plot summary: After the American Civil War a fort is built outside a mountain pass in New Mexico Territory to interdict maruauding Apaches. The Apaches cut off the fort's water supply and then attack after it becomes weak and debilitated. Shortly thereafter Captain Lance arrives with a patrol and captures Tuscos [Michael Ansara], the charismatic Apache leader. His scout [Jeff Corey] advises him to kill Tuscos, but Lance refuses to shoot a prisoner. Back at Fort Winston, Lance assigns an officer to lead a patrol escorting Tuscos to Fort Grant; Apaches attack the escort and Tuscos escapes. Captain Lance leads a patrol of those he considers to be Fort Winston's most expendable soldiers, back to what is left of Fort Invincible to fight off avenging Apaches pending arrival of a relief column. The outnumbered misfits in this tiny patrol see it as a suicide mission, but they know Lance's leadership is their only hope of survival.
