This is a 27" x 39" Egyptian one-sheet poster designed by Wahib Fahmy for the 1957 George Marshall film The Guns of Fort Petticoat based on a story by C. William Harrison, screenplay by Walter Doniger and starring Audie Murphy as Lt. Frank Hewitt. Plot summary: During the Civil War when the women of Texas are living alone in their remote homesteads because the men are fighting with the Confederate army, a Union Army deserter named Frank Hewitt gets suspicion and mistrust from the southern loyalists as he spreads the word among them of impending indian attacks. He encourages them to take refuge in an abandoned mission and trains them to defend themselves for the coming fight.
