Pat Garrett and Billy the Kid (1973) - (James Coburn)

Pat Garrett and Billy the Kid (1973) - (James Coburn) US one-sheet

My all-time favorite western directed by Sam Peckinpah, with one of the greatest western movie themes by Bob Dylan. There are a lot of different versions of this film and not all of them have the riverside scene with Slim Pickins dying while Katy Jurado watches with "Knock Knock Knockin' on Heaven's Door" playing. I thought Dylan's role in this was weak, but not his song.

Cast and crew: Sam Peckinpah, Rudy Wurlitzer, James Coburn, Kris Kristofferson, Richard Jaeckel, Katy Jurado, Chill Wills, Barry Sullivan, Jason Robards, Bob Dylan, R. G. Armstrong, Luke Askew, John Beck, Richard Bright, Matt Clark, Rita Coolidge, Jack Dodson
