Plot summary: Battal Gazi, the legendary Muslim commander from Malatya, is out to avenge the death of his father Huseyn Gazi, who has been ambushed and killed by some Byzantine warlords. One of these warlords is none other than the Byzantine emperor. On the way to fight the emperor Battal gets into a fight with the Christian knight Hammer, who is the greatest of the Christians. Hammer loses when Battal fights him and then converts to Islam. After that he and Gazi become the best of friends.
