The Secret of Convict Lake (1951) - (Glenn Ford) Argentine one-sheet

This is a 29" x 43" Argentine one-sheet poster closely derived from the design of the US poster for the 1951 Michael Gordon film The Secret of Convict Lake based on a story by Anna Hunger and Jack Pollexfen, screenplay by Oscar Saul and starring Glenn Ford as Jim Canfield. Plot summary: In 1871 Jim Canfield is in a Carson City prison after being framed and wrongly convicted of murder and robbery. In September he escapes with five other convicts and makes his way to Lake Monte Diablo, where he intends to retaliate against Rudy Schaeffer [Harry Carter] for falsely testifying against him. When he arrives he finds Rudy's fiancee Marcia Stoddard [Gene Tierney] instead and falls in love with her.

Indsstructible Man (1956) - (Lon Chaney) US insert

Pictured is a 14" x 36" US insert poster for the 1956 Jack Pollexfen film Indestructible Man based on a screenplay by Vy Russell and Sue Dwiggins and starring Lon Chaney as Charles "Butcher" Benton. Plot summary: After "Butcher" Benton is executed in prison, his death does not last forever because after all he is the Indestructible Man. When Professor Bradshaw [Robert Shayne] receives the executed body for cancer experimentation, he inadvertently restores the "Butcher" to life, but this time the criminal is almost indestructible. Benton kills Dr. Bradshaw and his assistant, then goes back into the city looking for revenge and the money he has stolen.
