This is a 19" x 27" Yugoslavian poster for the 1951 Mervyn LeRoy film Quo Vadis based on the 1896 novel by Henryk Sienkiewicz, screenplay by John Lee Mahin, S.N. Behrman and Sonya Levien and starring Robert Taylor as Marcus Vinicius. Plot summary: In the First Century Marcus Vinicius is a Roman general who falls in love with a Christian woman named Lygia [Deborah Kerr]. In the midst of other momentous historical events dramatized in the film, Marcus gradually falls in love with both Lygia and her religion.

The Red Beret (1953) - (Alan Ladd) Egyptian one-sheet

This is a 27" x 39" Egyptian poster by an unknown designer for the 1953 Terence Young film The Red Beret AKA Paratrooper based on the 1950 Hilary St. George Saunders novel The Red Beret, screenplay by Richarid Maibaum and Frank S. Nugent and starring Alan Ladd as Steve "Canada" MacKendrick. Plot summary: The film is about the World War II exploits of an American named Steve MacKendrick, who in 1940 pretends he is Canadian and volunteers for the British Army's Paratroop School. He takes part in a raid on the German radar station at Bruneval and then an attack in North Africa on an airfield at Bône.
