This is a 26.5" x 38.5" Iranian poster made to promote the 2012 89-minute Mahrdad Ghafarzadeh color film Receiver [girandeh] starring Saeed Rad based on a story by Mehrdad Ghafarzadeh with cinematography by Ali Mohammadzadeh. Plot summary: The president of the republic visits a small obscure city in Iran (Jaruk). Anticipating his arrival, most of the people in the city write letters to him about their problems. The story begins with an announcement on the radio in Haj Samad's [Saeed Rad] pickup truck about the president's impending arrival. Then come frenzied preparations for the arrival of the president's motorcade. Eventually a large bag of letters for the president reaches the airport after the president and his delegation have left town. Because the president is supposed to fly back to Tehran that same day, the letters have to be given to him as quickly as possible. Haj Samad gets the job of making the delivery. Meanwhile a person of influence who does not want the letters to reach the president tries to prevent it.
