This is a 26.5" x 38" Iranian poster designed by Behzad Khorshidi for the 2014 Reza Mirkarimi film Today written by Reza Mirkarimi and Shadmehr Rastin and starring Soheila Golestani as Sedigheh. Plot summary: At the end of a working day Youness, [Parviz Parastui] a kindly old taxi driver, takes a pregnant uninsured young woman to a hospital, not knowing what will happen there. The physician and the hospital workers make various assumptions about the driver and his relationship with the woman, but their questions to him are met with silence. Named Best Feature Film at the 2016 Dhaka International Film Festival, winner of the Crystal Simorgh at the 2014 Fajr Film Festival for Best Supporting Actress, [Shabnam Moghadami] and Best Leading Actor [Parviz Parastui]; winner at the 2015 Granada Film Festival Cines del Sur of Audience Award [Reza Mirkarimi] and the Bronze Alhambra Special Jury Prize [Reza Mirkarimi], and at the 2014 Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival Reza Mirkarimi won both the Ecumenical Jury Prize and the FIPRESCI Prize for achieving dramatic and political resonance from a deceptively simple story.
