This is an 18.5" by 28" Yugoslavian poster for the 1972 Sydney Pollack film Jeremiah Johnson based on the 1965 Vardis Fisher novel Mountain Man, the 1959 Raymond W. Thorp and Robert Bunker story Crow Killer: The Saga of Liver-eating Johnson and starring Robert Redford as Jeremiah Johnson. Plot summary: In 1847 Jeremiah Johnson is discharged from the U.S. Army and decides he would like to live a life of solitude in the mountains of the American west. He is able to establish a rapport with the Crow Indians, who permit him to build a house on their land. His rapport with the Crow ends when he helps the U.S. Cavalry violate one of their sacred precepts.

This is a 13" x 26" Italian locandina poster for the 1986 Sydney Pollack film Bobby Deerfield based on the 1961 novel of the same title by Erich Maria Remarque, screenplay by Alvin Sargent and starring Al Pacino as Bobby Deerfield. Plot summary: Bobby Deerfield is a famous American race car driver working in Europe who falls in love with a terminally ill Swiss woman named Lillian Morelli [Marthe Keller].

Electric Horseman (1979) - (Robert Redford) Spanish one-sheet

This is a 27" x 39" Spanish poster for the 1979 Sydney Pollack film Electric Horseman based on a story by Shelly Burton with screenplay by Robert Garland and starring Redford as Sonny Steele. Plot summary: Sonny Steele is advertising breakfast cereal as a cowboy in a lighted suit on a stage in Las Vegas. He is trading on a name he made for himself as a championship rodeo performer earier in his career, but even though the money is much better he experiences the Las Vegas life as a comedown. He is unpleasantly surprised to discover during rehearsal that his horse for the Las Vegas performance, a thoroughbred racing champ named Rising Star, is injured and drugged. Sonny decides to steal Rising Star and take him to a remote canyon in Utah for release into a herd of wild horses. Hallie Martin [Jane Fonda] is a television reporter who wants to go with Sonny to cover the trip, over his vehement objections.
