Plot summary: The Carters are an American family driving with their Airstream trailer through the Great Southwest. On a dirt road in a secluded area in the New Mexico desert their automobile unexpectedly hits a primitive booby trap and breaks an axle; the area is unknown territory inhabited by unseen people with evil designs.
