Magnificent Beast (1953) - (Miroslava) Egyptian one-sheet

This is a 27" x 39" Egyptian poster designed by Abdou Mohamed and Wahib Fahmy for the 1953 Chano Ureta film The Magnificent Beast AKA La Bestia Magnifica AKA Lucha Libre based on a story by Neftali Beltran, adaptation by Chano Ureta and starring Miroslava as Meche. This Mexican film was the first of what is called the Luchadores genre. Plot summary: Two good friends become fighters so they can get out of poverty, but their destiny changes when an ambitious woman comes into their lives.

This is a US one-sheet poster for a 1964 English language rerelease of the 1962 Roberto Rodriguez film Tom Thumb and Little Riding Hood AKA Little Red Riding Hood and the Monsters based on a story by Fernando Morales Ortiz, Adolfo Torres Portillo and Sergio Magana Esquival and starring Maria Gracia as Little Red Riding Hood. Plot summary: Little Red Riding Hood and her friend Tom Thumb [Cesaro Quezadas] are in a battle against the Wicked Queen [Ofelia Guilmain] and her band of monsters. The queen and her sister the Old Witch have cast a curse turning villagers into monkeys and mice for trying to defy their magic.
