The Last American Hero (1973) - (Jeff Bridges) US one-sheet

This is a 27" x 41" US one-sheet poster for the 1973 Lamont Johnson film The Last American Hero written by William Roberts based on a story by Tom Wolfe and starring Jeff Bridges as Elroy Jackson, Jr. (Junior Jackson), a character based on the life of stock car champion Junior Johnson (who served as technical adviser for the film). Plot summary: Elroy Jackson Jr. decides to stop selling moonshine and try to excel as a NASCAR driver. This decision is prompted in part by the experience of seeing his father [Art Lund] thrown in prison for moonshining. Jackson hopes to get his father released by raising money as a professional race car driver.

Cattle Annie and Little Britches (1980) - (Burt Lancaster) Spanish one-sheet

This is a 27" x 39" Spanish one-sheet poster using art by Macario "Mac" Gomez to promote the 1980 Lamont Johnson film Cattle Annie and Little Britches based on a novel by Robert Ward with screenplay by David Eyre and starring Scott Glenn as Bill Dalton. Plot summary: The events in this film are partly accurate historically, based on the lives of two adolescent girls in 19th Century Oklahoma who leave home to cast their lot with some famous criminals, the remnants of the Doolin-Dalton Gang. The older of the two girls is Anna Emmaline McDoulet "Cattle Annie" played by Amanda Plummer; the younger is Jennie Stevens -"Little Britches" [Diane Lane]. The two girls try to inspire Bill Doolin [Burt Lancaster] to achieve greater things out of great admiration formed in the reading of accounts of him in stories by Ned Buntline, the famous American journalist, publicist and dime novelist.
