This is a 19.5" x 28" Yugoslavian poster for the 1967 Robert Aldrich film The Dirty Dozen based on the 1965 novel of the same title by E.M. Nathanson, screenplay by Nunally Johnson and Lukas Heller and starring Lee Marvin as Major John Reisman. Plot summary: In March 1944 to prepare for the D-Day invasion Major John Reisman is put in charge of Project Amnesty in which he will train a small group of hard-core Army prisoners as commandos to be sent on an airborne assault against a French château where a group of high-ranking German officers will be meeting.

Plot summary: In the spring of 1942 in the southwest Pacific during World War II Japanese and allied soldiers are based on the same island. There is a clash when a British contingent is sent on a mission behind Japanese lines and is then obliged to fight its way back to its own base.

This is a 27" x 41" US one-sheet poster for the 1970 William A. Fraker film Monte Walsh based on the 1963 novel by Jack Schaefer (author of Shane) with screenplay by Lukas Heller and David Zelag Goodman and starring Lee Marvin as Monte Walsh. Plot summary: Monte Walsh is an aging cowboy in the late 19th Century witnessing the final disappearance of the life of the old west he once knew and loved. The kind of work he used to do on the open range is becoming increasingly scarce, and he is reluctant to do anything that can't be done while riding a horse. He and his friends understand they must try to reinvent themselves and make a new start, but find the challenge daunting. As Monte's woman Martine Bernard [Jeanne Moreau] puts it, "As time goes by, we all have to take the best we can get."
