This is a 27" x 37.5" Iranian poster distributed by the Sureh Cinema Distribution Organization for the 2008 Majid Majidi film The Song of Sparrows written by Mehran Kashani and Majid Majidi and starring Mohammad Amir Naji as Karim. Plot summary: On a desert ostrich farm in Iran Karim's favorite bird escapes and he is unable to find it. He is fired. He goes to Tehran to operate a motorcycle taxi and take care of some family business; in the chaos there he experiences his own hectic version of rural/urban culture shock. This was Iran's official entry in the 2009 Academy Awards Foreign Language Film category.

Pictured is a 26.5" x 38" Iranian poster designed by Qab Asman to promote the 2012 Ali Vazirian 82-minute color film One Line of Truth [yak satre vagheiat] starring Hossein Yari based on a story by Ali Vazirian with cinematography by Farshad Mohammadi. Plot summary: This is a moody and tense film about a journalist couple named Kasra and Forukh [Hossein Yari and Mehraveh Sharifinia] whose publication may lose its office space as they work to unravel an old mystery. Their problems are complicated with an offer for support from a Swedish financier with contingency requirements that are not clear. This problem is eliminated when the financier withdraws the offer for unexplained reasons and the government bans the two of them from leaving the country, again for unexplained reasons. Those problems are apparently resolved, but other problems replace them.
