Speedway (1968) - (Elvis Presley) Italian locandina

This is a 13" x 26" Italian locandina poster made to promote the 1968 Norman Taurog film Speedway written by Phil Shuken and starring Elvis Presley as Steve Grayson. Plot summary: Steve Grayson is a successful race car driver who gets into trouble with the IRS through its agent Susan Jacks [Nancy Sinatra]. As John Lennon said, they killed Elvis ten years earlier in 1958 when he went into the Army.

You're Never Too Young (1955) - (Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis) US lobby card

Pictured is an 11" x 14" #2 lobby card for the 1955 Norman Taurog film You're Never Too Young starring Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis based on story by Edward Childs Carpenter and Fanny Kilbourne, screenplay by Sidney Sheldon and starring Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis as Bob Miles and Wilbur Hoolick. Plot summary: Wilbur Hoolick is an assistant barber at a hotel who is framed as the culprit in a robbery, but the frame job is botched and he is accidentally left in possession of the stolen goods. The robbers go after him to recover the lost take, but he disguises himself as a 12-year-old so he can get a half-price train ticket to get away from them. This film is a remake of Billy Wilder's first film The Major and the Minor (1937) in which Ginger Rogers plays the role played by Jerry Lewis in this one.

This is a two-piece 55" x 77" Italian four-sheet poster using art by Enrico De Seta to promote the 1965 Norman Taurog film Tickle Me based on a story by Elwood Ullman and Edward Bernds and starring Elvis Presley as Lonnie Beale. Plot summary: Lonnie Beale is hired as a stable man at an expensive dude ranch whose customers are glamor girls. Pam Merritt [Jocelyn Lane], one of the trainers, gets a letter telling her of the location of some gold in a ghost town and some of the local losers decide to try to take it away from her.

Pictured is a two-piece 55" x 77" Italian four-sheet poster for the 1963 Norman Taurog film It Happened at the World's Fair based on a screenplay by Si Rose and Seaman Jacobs and starring Elvis Presley as Mike Edwards. Plot summary: Mike Edwards and Danny Burke [Gary Lockwood] go to Seattle during the 1962 World's Fair to try to earn some money after losing the aircraft they were operating as a cropduster. In Seattle, Mike soon has his hands full with two different girlfriends and a young girl named Sue-Lin [Vicky Tiu] he agrees to babysit for a local farmer [Walter Ling].

Stefano to promote the 1966 Norman Taurog film Spinout (also called California Holiday on the poster) based on a story by Theodore J. Flicker and George Kirgo and starring Elvis Presley as Mike McCoy. Plot summary: Mike McCoy, a singer in a small band and a part-time racecar driver, is being pursued by three different women who want to marry him. The Italian title translates as They All Want To Marry Him.
