Melbourne (2014) - (Payman Maadi) Iranian one-sheet

This is a 26.5" x 38" Iranian poster designed by Hamid Reza Eshaqi for the 2014 film Melbourne written and directed by Nima Javidi and starring Payman Maadi as Amir. Plot summary: Amir and Sara [Negar Javaherian] are a young couple living in Tehran who are about to go to Melbourne for continued education. Their neighbor's babysitter leaves a baby with them, who turns out to be dead. Travel plans suddenly take a back seat. This film has been compared to Ashgar Farhadi's A Separation, at least partly because Payman Maadi has the lead in both films. Best Screenplay at the 2014 Asia Pacific Screen Awards, Best Film, 2014 Cairo International Film Festival, winner Best Actress for Negar Javaherian at Mar del Plata Film Festival, Aluminum Horse for Best Script at 2014 Stockholm Film Festival.

This is a 26.5" x 38.5" Iranian poster designed by Behruz Khorshidi to promote the 2013 Ebrahim Sheibani 92-minute color film Nowhere Nobody [hich ja hich kas] starring Reza Kianian based on a screenplay by Ahmad Rafie Zadeh with cinematography by Hossein Jafarian. Plot summary: This films is about relationships with misunderstandings whose participants have reverted to isolation. The people in this film connect loneliness to the presence of others and this does does nothing to heal their wounds. Instead it increases the pain of abandonment. The film does not follow a straight story line but it depicts events that could happen to anyone.
