This is a 27" x 39" Egyptian poster for the 1981 Zaki Saleh film Beware We Are the Crazy Ones based on story, screenplay and dialogue by Anwar Abdel Malek and starring Nahed Sherif as Ashjan. Plot summary: Hoda [Safa Abu Al-Saud] loved Wahid [Mustafa Fahmy] who lived in an apartment in the building her mother owned. Wahid got mixed up in narcotics smuggling and got involved with Ashjan, one of the smugglers. He was arrested, after which he and Hoda were reunited.

This is a 27" x 39" Egyptian poster designed by Wael for the 1974 Hassan Al Imam film Bamba Kasher based on a story by Jalil al-Bandari, screenplay and dialogue by Mohamed Mustafa Samy and starring Nadia El Guidy as Bamba Kasher. Bamba Kasher (1860 - 1928) was an Egyptian dancer of national prominence and one of the first women to appear in Egyptian films. This film is a dramatization of her life. Plot summary: Bamba Kashar is a dancer who owns a famous nightclub. In a tale full of twists and turns her diplomat husband Mahmoud [Samir Sabri] divorces her, then marries her a second time.

This is a 27" x 39" undated rerelease Egyptian poster desiged by Wahib Fahmy for the 1974 Mahmoud Farid film Devils Forever based on story, screenplay and dialogue by Behgat Kamar and Kamal Zakaria and starring Adel Imam as Fakhrani. Plot summary: Fakhrani and Kamal Taleban [Farouk Youssef] wanted to marry the sisters Faten [Safa Abu al-Saud] and Ferial [Hayat Kandeel] but their father the Sergeant Maghawy [Mohamed Reda] refused to allow it because their family's military tradition required the husbands of its daughters to be soldiers. Fakhrani and Kamal therefore joined the Police Institute Trustees after finishing school. Their father then agreed to let his daughters marry them. The plan was delayed when Maghawy's youngest son Galal was kidnapped.

Delusions of Love (1970) - (Naglaa Fathy) Egyptian one-sheet

Shown here is an Egyptian promotional poster designed by Walid Wahig and Gasour for the 1970 79-minute Mamduh Shukry color film Delusions of Love [awham al-hob] starring Naglaa Fathy as Nadia with story, screenplay and dialogue by Mamduh Shukry and cinematography by Abdelhalim Nasr. Plot summary: After saying goodbye to her brother at the Cairo Airport Nadia met the artist Samir, [Yusuf Chaban] who felt something the first time he saw her. They established a relationship before they were officially married and lived as man and wife at a beach in Alexandria. They married later, but Nadia felt there was some change in her relatonship with Samir which showed itself as his desire to read and a preoccupation with books; it also included bordeom and tension in their relationship. Nadia was injured in an automobile accident, which caused her to have a miscarriage and lose some blood. Samir took her to a doctor to get her a blood transfusion, but a test of his own blood showed he had leukemia. He hid the test results from his wife with whom he was having so many problems, but he did not get a divorce. She left their home and returned to the gang of friends she had been with before the marriage. One of them named Farouk [Fathy Abul Sattar] took her to his apartment and they slept together. She went to her husband to tell him about the incident and gave him a lot of trouble. He had a nervous breakdown and could not find any solution other than divorce. His life had become a hellish fantasy and he could no longer control himself. His world was a confusing maze of contradictions. He died, accepting death with no regrets.
