Plot summary: Jonathan [Andrew McCarthy] is a young man with no sexual experience; he has his first encounter with Ellen, but Ellen breaks it off abruptly when she realizes Jonathan is only 17. It turns out that Ellen is also the mother of Skip, [Rob Lowe] Jonathan's roommate.

This is a 27" x 41" US one-sheet two-moon advance poster designed by Tom Jung for the 1984 David Lynch film Dune based on the 1965 Frank Herbert novel of the same title, screenplay by David Lynch and starring Kyle MacLachlan as Paul Atreides, the prophetic dreamer. Plot summary: Thousands of years into the future, the most essential and valuable known commodity is called melange, or "the spice," which can extend life and expand consciousness. Its most valuable property is its ability to assist with the folding of space, which allows safe and instantaneous interstellar travel. The sole source of this precious substance is Planet Arrakis (AKA "Dune"). The emperor of the universe, Padishah Shaddam IV, [Jose Ferrer] plans to turn over control of the Planet Arrakis to the House of Atreides and then have them ambushed by the Harkonnens under the leadership of Baron Vladimir Harkonnen on the industrial world of Giedi Prime. The emperor suspects Duke Leto Atreides [Jurgen Prochnow] of forming a secret army which will be a threat to him. To evade the emperor's plot the Atreides leave their home in Calada and go to Arrakis.

This is a 27" x 41" US one-sheet poster by an unknown designer for the 1984 Steve Barron film Electric Dreams starring Lenny von Dohlen as Miles Harding based on a story by Rusty Lemorande. Plot summary: In the early days of mass market desktop computers, Miles Harding falls in love with his neighbor Madeline [Virginia Madsen]; he then finds himself competing for her affection with his new computer, Edgar [speaking in the voice of Bud Cort]. His primitive computer expresses its jealousy using the techniques of identity theft and by interfering with the functions of his home appliances. With help from Miles, Edgar also learns to write songs and ultimately produces the Miles and Madeline tribute song "Electric Dreams," which becomes a popular hit on the radio.
