Plot summary: Tom Smith [Stanley Andrews] is a railroad executive having problems because two of his employees who are after his money are willing to sabotage the railroad or commit murder to get it. He asks his old friend Hoppy to help.

The Dead Don't Dream (R1950s) - (William Boyd) Mexican one-sheet

This is a 27.25" x 36.5" Mexican poster for a 1950s rerelease of the 1948 George Archainbaud TV episode The Dead Don't Dream starring William Boyd as Hopalong Cassidy. Plot summary: Just when Lucky [Rand Brooks] is about to get married to Mary Benton, [Mary Ware] her uncle is murdered along with two other people and the wedding is cancelled. Hoppy finds clues and flushes out the killer. Two of the cast members shown on poster, Una O'Connor and Patricia Tate, actually appear in the 1947 TV episode Unexpected Guest but not in The Dead Don't Dream.

This is a 19" x 26" undated rerelease Yugoslavian poster for the 1940 Lesley Selander film Three Men from Texas written by Norton S. Parker and starring William Boyd as Hopalong Cassidy. Plot summary: While Hopalong Cassidy is working for the Texas Rangers he is offered an assignment to help the California town of Santa Carmen organize itself against an infestation of outlaws. Hoppy declines and Lucky Jenkins [Russell Hayden] takes the job but Hoppy ends up going there anyway. Hoppy meets for the first time his future sidekick California Carlson [Andy Clyde]. This was the first of 35 consecutive films they did together. On the poster are pictured left to right California Carlson, Lucky Jenkins and Hopalong Cassidy, the three men from Texas.

Plot summary: When Belle Starr [Natalie Moorhead] is released after serving a five-year prison term and goes back home to take over her ranch, she does not know her foreman Dan Ringo [Stephen Chase] has been rustling cattle. Folded, near mint condition.

This listing uses the English Title given on the poster, but the 1947 name of the film this poster was intended to advertise was originally Strange Gamble, AKA El Texano Intrepido. The title Fighting Texan shown on the poster was the 1952 US TV title. Plot summary: While investigating a counterfeiting case, Hoppy discovers that the counterfeiter is actually a good guy being held hostage by criminals who are forcing him to do the printing.

This is a 27" x 37" Mexican one-sheet poster for the 1947 george Archainbaud film Fool's Gold AKA Twin Buttes based on a screenplay by Doris Schroeder and starring William Boyd as Hopalong Cassidy. Plot summary: Lieutenant Bruce Landy [Steve Barclay] has deserted the army to avoid facing a court martial after striking his commanding officer in a fit of temper. As a favor to his friend, who is Bruce's father Colonel Jed Landy [Forbes Murray], Hopalong Cassidy goes looking for Bruce in a place called Twin Buttes. Hoppy and his pals California Carlson [Andy Clyde] and Lucky Jenkins [Rand Brooks] then learn of another shady operation not far away where a gang is making copper bricks covered with a thin coating of gold.

This is a 27" x 41" US one-sheet poster for the 1943 George Archainbaud film False Colors based on characters by Clarence Mulford, screenplay by Bennett Cohen and starring William Boyd as Hopalong Cassidy. Plot summary: After one of Hopalong Cassidy's crew named Bud Lawton [Tom Seidel] is killed by men working for Mark Foster [Douglass Dumbrille], Hoppy learns Bud has willed him part ownership of a ranch, but then they find Lawton is being impersonated. When Hoppy and his men expose the impersonator, at Mark Foster's bidding the sheriff jails them for killing Lawton. Robert Mitchum appears in this film in the role of Rip Austin, credited as Bob Mitchum.
