This is a 26.5" x 38" Iranian poster designed by Heddat for the 1989 Rakhshan Banietemad film Foreign Currency written by Dariush Moaddabian and and Farid Mostavi and starring Ali Nassirian. Plot summary: Office worker Morteza A. dreams one night that he has acquired $50,000. He goes everywhere trying to convert the dollars to local currency but does not succeed. When he awakens and finds himself without any dollars he cannot accept the reality. They take him to a sanitorium.

This is a 27.5" x 39.25" Iranian poster designed by Heddat for the 1985 Yadollah Samadi film The Man Who Knew More written by Hassan Hedayat and Jamal Omid and starring Morteza Ahmadi. Plot summary: A young employee named Mehraban who is unhappy with his hard life meets a mysterious old man dressed in black. The old man says he will get Mehraban what he wants on the condition that he make the right use of his opportunities. Mehraban agrees. The old man leaves a newspaper with him dated three months in the future reporting the war between Iran and Iraq. Mehraban makes a lot of money by purchasing essential goods, hoarding them and then selling them later at much higher prices during the war. However he loses his fiancee and breaks with his friends. The mysterious old man appears again. He tells him he has abused his privileged opportunity and not to continue on the wrong path; on their last meeting he tells him he has become a monster and he must either to go back to his former life or die. The fear of death causes Mehraban to donate his illegitimate funds to charities and return to his honorable life.

Plot summary: Khaje Majed [Jafar Mohaddes] reports Captain Khorshid as a smuggler and the smuggled cigarettes in his Persian Gulf launch are unloaded and burned. A broker named Farhan [Ali Nassirian] comes into the port wanting to move a few political fugitives across the maritime border. He contacts Captain Khorshid. Captain Khorshid cooperates with him thinking his launch will be seized.

This is a 26.5" x 38" Iranian poster for the 1987 Mehrzad Minui film Manuscripts written by Behruz Afkhami and starring Shahram Almasi. Plot summary: Hossein Motamed [Jalil Farjad] was fired from his former job as a committee member because he violated regulations, and he is now a taxi driver. His crime was that during a chase he used a passerby's personal automobile, which later led to the loss of life and property. A document was obtained from a team house showing that plans had been made to assassinate Hossein Motamed. Shortly before that a youth named Mansour Entesari had told him he was the agent in charge of killing him, but since he had been discharged from the organization he was unwilling to do this. His intent was to give his information to Motamed. Motamed permits Mansour to continue his role in the terrorist organization. The committee was following these events and warned Motamed against interfering before the law took care of the matter. The terrorist organization killed Mansour and arrested Motamed and took him to a team house. The house was surrounded by committee agents. Committee agents killed a number of people from the outside, arrested the others and took over the house.

This is a 26.75" x 37.5" Iranian poster for the 1989 film Horizon written and directed by Rasool Mollagholi Poor and starring Jahanbakhsh Soltani. Plot summary: A group of basiji and revolutionary guard divers equip themselves to destroy the al-Amieh Pier. A combatant named Nosrat is solely responsible for identifying and photographing the pier. His fellow combatant Ahmad, who knows Nosrat is sick, follows him. They are surrounded by the enemy. Ahmad helps Nosrat escape but is himself arrested and killed. With the information that Nosrat is in the hands of the combatants, the Al-Amieh Pier is destroyed.

This is a 27" by 38.5" Iranian poster designed by Reza Haddad for the 1991 Mehdi Sabbaghzadeh film Island Search written by Asghar Abdollahi and Hassan Gholizadeh and starring Khosro Shakibai as Detective Ahmadi. Plot summary: Detective Ahmadi gets the job of delivering 10 falcons he has obtained from smugglers to the Environmental Protection Organization. However along the way the falcons are stolen from him by an unknown person. Ahmadi, which finds himself open to the accusation of theft, decides to pursue the thief on his own. During the search he comes to Kish Island after losing his pistol and id card. Once on the island he searches for Marzouk the river pilot, an old acquaintance, so he can continue the search with his help. After research and investigation the two finally see the thieves transferring the stolen falcons to some Gulf Sheikhdoms; they arrest all of them with the help of police agents.

Plot summary: Mahmoud is an 8mm filmmaker who has a special affinity for 8mm film. He makes a short film called Spectre of Scorpion with the intent of making a feature length film from the screenplay, but this is prevented by a shortage of resources. Mahmoud has a friend named Hassan who makes Persian films. Their friendship becomes the basis for a story. Love for cinema and weariness of all the effort ultimately brings the story into real life. He flees with the money after robbing Mahmoud's jeweler friend. Mahmoud's brother, who is a suspect in the theft, helps Mahmoud pursue Hassan. At the end Mahmoud intends to return the jewels; he unwittingly confesses when he sees Hassan's death.

This is a 25.5" x 35.5" Iranian poster for the 1972 Amir Shervan film Attraction AKAkhaterkhah based on a story by Aronaghi-Kermani, screenplay by Amir Shervan and starring Naser Malek Motiee as Siroos. Plot summary: Siroos had divorced his wife and was living with his sister [Roya] father [Hosein Amirfazli] mother [Mehri Vadadian] and his son, [Farhad Mohabbat] met Behgat [Fourouzan] and her friend Mahin, [Sorayya Beheshti] loose women living in the care of Ahmad, [Ahmad Moini] Behgat's jealous boyfriend. One day Siroos's nephew Ibrahim [Bahman Mofid] invited him to the garden at his villa, where he met Behgat. At first he drove Behgat away and then went looking for her. Siroos married Behgat with opposition from his mother and support from his father. Ahmad told Siroos's parents about Behgat's sordid past. He went to Behgat's home and had a fight with her after breaking in. Behgat knocked Ahmad down by breaking a glass vase over his head and went to jail for it. When she was released later her husband, father and mother welcomed her home.

The big brother feels responsible for the little brother's happiness so he sends him after the girl.

Plot summary: Because of her work a famous singer [Fourouzan] neglects her only child Ali [Shahram Samimipoor]. The singer's driver Karim [Morteza Aghili] is the only one who pays any attention to Ali in the her absence and takes him out for play and recreation. Bahram, [Bahram Vatanparast] the singer's program director, keeps his time filled and and causes Ali and Karim to hate him. Karim complains about the mother's indifference towards her son and she decides to fire him, but Ali talks her out of it. Ali gets more and more depressed every day. Karim takes him to a hospital. The physician decides on a treatment but it does not work because he and his colleagues neglect it. Karim tells the woman about it; she is in the midst of a program in the city. She asks Bahram to suspend all her programs. Ali's condition deteriorates and the mother, Karim and Bahram take him to a religious shrine seeking a cure through an imam's intercession. Ali is finally cured and everyone is overjoyed.

Jafar Khan is Back from Europe (1985) - (Reza Arham Sadr) Iranian one-sheet

This is a 26.5" x 38" Iranian poster designed by Bateni for the 1985 Ali Hatami film Jafar Khan is Back from America written by Hassan Moghadam and starring Reza Arham Sadr. Plot summary: Jafar Khan, the son of Haj Akbar, returns from America. When his father sees his unconventional appearance he realizes he will need to use fire and water to make Jafar look presentable. The father's efforts are unsuccessful because the government gives Jafar room to put his ideas into practice. Jafar becomes an agent for making Jafarabad, which has been renamed as Newjef, into an industrial city and a space where the residents can be put to work implementing Jafar's programs making his ideal society. When Haj Akbar is unable to bring Jafar in line and learns he has married a American girl, he has a heart attack and on Jafar's advice is sent an asylum instead of a hospital. However the psychologist decides to look after him at home. In his father's absence Jafar Khan implements his programs. With help from the psychologist and the hospital doctor Haj Akbar regains his health and musters opposition to Jafar. After Jafar sets the people of the village against each other, the country drops the goal of being like America.
