King Kong Escapes (1967) - (dir: Honda) Egyptian one-sheet

This is a 27" x 39" Egyptian poster designed by Sami for the 1967 Ishiro Honda film King Kong Escapes, starring Rhodes Reason as Commander Carl Nelson based on story and screenplay by Takeshi Kimura. Plot summary: The evil Dr. Who [Hideyo Amamoto] and his accomplice Madame Piranha/Madame X [Mie Hama] kidnap King Kong when their mechanical replica of Kong fails in its attempt to mine the radioactive element X at the North Pole. King Kong later escapes and is pursued by his mechanical replica. Kong and Mechani-Kong fight it out at the top of Tokyo Tower.

This is a 20" x 28.5" Japanese poster for the 1967 Ishiro Honda film King Kong Escapes written by Takeshi Kimura and starring Rhodes Reason as Commander Carl Nelson. Plot summary: When the robot MechaKong is unable to dig out the precious stones from a mine, the evil Dr. Who [Hideyo Amamoto] brings in King Kong to do the job. This leads to a big fight between them that threatens to devastate Tokyo.

Godzilla vs. the Sea Monster (1966) - (dir: Jun Fukuda) Italian locandina

This is a 13" x 27.25" Italian locandina poster designed to promote the 1966 Jun Fukuda film Godzilla vs. The Sea Monster starring Akira Takarada as Yoshimura. Plot summary: In a storm, some teenagers are shipwrecked on an Island whose population is being enslaved by Red Bamboo, a criminal organization. The island is also unders siege by a giant lobster named Ebirah, the sea monster. The teenagers find Godzilla sleeping on the island; they awaken him and recruit him to fight Ebirah and defeat Red Bamboo.

This is a 19" x 26" Yugoslavian poster for the 1975 Ishiro Honda film Terror of Mechagodzilla based on story and screenplay by Yukiko Takayama and starring Katsuhiko Sasaki as Akira Ichinose. Plot summary: Mechagodzilla, a 400-foot robot Godzilla, and the gigantic amphibious dinosaur Titanosaurus are both being used by aliens to attack Earth. Godzilla tries to oppose them to save the planet.

This is a 39" x 55" Italian two-sheet poster designed by Orovato to promote the 1966 Jun Fukuda film Godzilla vs. The Sea Monster starring Akira Takarada as Yoshimura. Plot summary: In a storm, some teenagers are shipwrecked on an Island whose population is being enslaved by Red Bamboo, a criminal organization. The island is also unders seige by a giant lobster named Ebirah, the sea monster. The teenagers find Godzilla sleeping on the island; they awaken him and recruit him to fight Ebirah and defeat Red Bamboo. This poster shows King Kong, who was the film's original monster before Toho replaced the big ape with Godzilla.
