This is a 27" x 39" Egyptian poster designed by Moaty for the 1992 Jonathan Lynn film The Distinguished Gentleman based on a story by Marty Kaplan and Jonathan Reynolds, screenplay by Marty Kaplan and starring Eddie Murphy as Thomas Jefferson Johnson. Plot summary: When The Honorable Thomas Jefferson Johnson [James Garner] dies, another man with the same name in the same Congressional district decides to take advantage of the situation to get himself elected to the same office formerly held by the deceased Thomas Jefferson Johnson. After he succeeds he finds he is not prepared for the realities of life in Washington as a member of the US House of Representatives.
