This is a 22.5" x 30.5" French poster designed by Leo Kouper for a 1971 rerelease of the 1921 film The Kid written and directed by Charles Chaplin and starring Charlie Chaplin as the Tramp. Plot summary: Edna [Edna Purviance] abandons her new baby in a limousine. The limousine is later stolen by thieves, who leave the baby in an alley by some garbage cans. The Tramp finds the baby and takes care of him. Years later the police take the boy [Jackie Coogan] away from Charlie and put him in an orphanage.
