Brother-in-Law [bajenaq] (1973) - (Sirus Afhami) Iranian one-sheet

This is a 23.5" x 35" Iranian poster for the 1973 Hossein Ghassemi-Vand film Brother-in-Law [bajenaq] starring Sirus Afhami as Yadollah. Plot summary: Yadollah [Sirus Afhami], the neighborhood tough guy and garage owner, has two wives and nine chidren. His brother Ibrahim [Manuchehr Tayefeh] lives with him. One day one of the neighborhood bullies named Reza Shangul harasses the sister of Ahmad Kolupoz and Ibrahim rebukes him. Reza Shangol intervenes and Farideh [Leeda Daneshvar], the niece of one of Yadollah's neighbors, comes to their home. Both brothers become infatuated with her and each of them prepares for marriage. Each brother thinks the other brother supports his marriage, but in the end it is Ibrahim and Farideh who turn out to have a mutual interest and become engaged.

Shown here is a 36" x 24.5" Iranian poster designed by Beheshti to promote the 1972 110-minute Naser Taghvai black-and-white film Sadegh Korde starring Saeed Rad based on a screenplay by Naser Taghvai with cinematography by Nosratallah Kani. The film was produced by the Misaghye Studio. Plot summary: Sadegh [Saeed Rad] known as Sadegh Korde, ran a coffee house with his wife [Atash Khayyar] on the road between Andimeshk and Ahvaz. One night when Sadegh was not there a truck driver friend of his went to the coffee house and after insulting Sadegh's wife he unwittingly killed her. The chief of the guard station [Mohamad Ali Keshavarz] and Chief Sergeant Vali Khan [Ezzatolah Entezami] the father of Sadegh's wife, sought to arrest the killer, but Sadegh started slaughtering truck drivers to avenge the murder of his wife. Chief Sergeant Vali Khan was told by the chief of the guard station to investigate the case of the killer of the drivers. When he was sure the killer of the drivers was none other than his son-in-law, he was silent. The chief of the guard station pressured the chief sergeant and on the day when Sadegh was supposed to visit his child and collect 1000 tumans, to cross the water boundary he went to the home of his wife's father and was surrounded by police and shot.

Shown here is a 27.5" x 13" Iranian poster designed by Davallu to promote the 1965 91-minute Saber Rahbar black-and-white film The Three Wastrels [seta nokhaleh] starring Mohammad Motevaselani based on a screenplay by Mohammad Motevaselani with cinematography by Saber Rahbar. The film was produced by the Tehran United Cinemas Group. Plot summary: To treat a girl who had lost her family and become confused in an accident, Amir, Nader and Mansour were trying to raise some money. Once they traded a violin belonging to one of the three friends for a criminal group's violin containing three million tumans. Finally with police intervention the criminals were arrested. The three friends received a reward of 100000 tumans and with that money they treated the girl.
