This is a 27" x 29" Iranian poster designed by Heddat for the 1985
Mohammad Motevaselani film Mirza Norooz's Shoes written by
Dariush Farhang and Susan Taslimi and starring Ali Nassirian as Mirza
Norooz. Plot summary: In this comedy set in premodern Iran Mirza
Norooz is a pharmacist who is unwilling to discard his old worn-out
shoes and buy new ones. This causes the people in his town to
ridicule him and makes him unfit to appear at public functions. His
wife and children are no longer able to tolerate the situation. They
have left him and made the purchase of new shoes the condition for
their return. Mirza finally decides to buy new shoes with much
bitterness. He tries to discard his old worn-out shoes, but they
cause problems for him no matter what he does with them. Things get
so bad for him that he is almost beheaded by mistake. He finally gets
relief when his old shoes are publicly burned. He then goes back to a
peaceful life with his wife and children, who have come back home.

film The Compromise [sazesh] starring Behrouz Vossoughi based
on a story by Mohammad Motevaselani with cinematography by Nemat
Haghighi. Plot summary: Javad [Behrouz Vossoughi] is a young man who
has taken a liking to a girl named Batoul [Nushafarin], whose mother
is sick. To meet the costs of treatment and surgery for Batoul's
mother, Javad decides to rob the home of a woman named Ziba [Nuri
Kasrai]. There he finds that Ziba has a relationship with a man named
Khalayeq, who is head of the neighborhood association. Javad decides
instead of stealing he will blackmail Khalayeq. The next day Javad
goes to Khalayeq's home and makes his demand. All of Khalayeq's
options are controlled by his wife Badri [Mahin Shahabi] so he has a
problem paying money to Javad. Javad poses as Dr. Khastegari, a name
Khalayeq has been using as a telephone alibi with Badri, and gets
himself invited by Badri to stay at Khalayeq's home. While there he
sees that Khalayeq's son [Majid Mozaffari] is in an illicit
relationship with the maid. He gradually gets involved with the lives
of Khalayeq's rivals in the neighborhood association and learns their
individual secrets. Ultimately at a meeting of the neighborhood
association Javad runs for president. After he is elected he forgets
about Batoul and finds himself in a lovely trap.

produced by the Misaghyeh Studio. Plot summary: Amir needed money so
he could marry his fiance Mariam, so he worked in a criminal
organization run by a man named Afshar, who printed counterfeit
currency notes. The wife of the gangleader flirted with Amir but he
paid no attention to her until the time when the gangleader saw his
wife and Amir alone together. There was a fight and the gangleader
and his wife shot and killed each other. Amir went back to Mariam.

Group. Plot summary: To treat a girl who had lost her family and
become confused in an accident, Amir, Nader and Mansour were trying to
raise some money. Once they traded a violin belonging to one of the
three friends for a criminal group's violin containing three million
tumans. Finally with police intervention the criminals were arrested.
The three friends received a reward of 100000 tumans and with that
money they treated the girl.

they met a capricious woman who toyed with all three of them. After
