This is a 13" x26" Italian locandina poster for the 1961 Sergio Leone film The Colossus of Rhodes AKA Il colosso di Rodi based on story and screenplay by Sergio Leone, Ennio De Concini, Cesare Seccia, Luciano Martino, Ageo Savioli, Luciano Chitarrini and Carlo Gualtieri and starring Rory Calhoun as Dario. Plot summary: In the year 280 BC Dario, a Greek war hero, goes to Rhodes to visit his uncle. Rhodes has just built the famous Colossus in its harbor and is planning an alliance with Phoenicia, which would be hostile to Greece. Dario joins a revolt; an earthquake destroys the Colossus right after the revolt fails.

L'insoumis (1964) - (Alain Delon) Danish one-sheet poster

This is a 23" x 34" Danish one-sheet poster for the 1964 Alain Cavalier film L'insoumis AKA Have I the Right to Kill AKA The Unvanquished written by Jean Cau and Alain Cavalier and starring Alain Delon as Thomas Vlassenroot. Plot summary: Thomas Vlassenroot is a divorced citizen of Luxembourg who has enlisted in the French Foreign Legion. During the 1961 Algerian uprising he deserts then teams up with Lieutenant Fraser [Georges Geret], a former comrade in the Legion who is also a deserter now working for the OAS, a group resisting the Algerian independence movement. The two kidnap Dominique Servet [Lea Massari], an attorney defending Algerian nationalists. Thomas falls in love with Dominique and helps her escape to France. He later has another encounter with Dominique in France, then makes his way back to Luxembourg.
