This is a 29" x 43" Argentine one-sheet poster for the 1956 Albert C. Gannaway and Ismael Rodriguez film Daniel Boone, Trail Blazer based on screenplay by Tom Hubbard and John Patrick and starring Bruce Bennett as Daniel Boone. Plot summary: In 1775 during the American War of Independence Shawnee indians are besieging the fort in Boonesborough Kentucky because they believe Boone and other settlers are there to kill them and steal their land. The film depicts the fight for survival by Boone and his family after talks fail with the Shawnee. These trailblazer fighters and their families are also crooners who occasionally interrupt their rugged frontier routines to render heroic ballads.

This is a 29" x 43" Argentine one-sheet poster for the 1954 Hugo Fregonese film Man in the Attic based on the novel The Lodger by Marie Belloc Lowndes, screenplay by Robert Presnell Jr. and Barre Lyndon and starring Jack Palance as Slade. Plot summary: In London in 1888 Slade rents a room and an attic in the home of William and Helen Harley [Rhys Williams and Frances Bavier] and begins to attract attention because of his eccentric habits and his curious attic laboratory. These events unfold against the backdrop of a series of murders attributed to a killer known as Jack the Ripper.

This is a US 27" x 41" one-sheet poster for the 1974 Martin Ritt film Conrack starring Jom Voight based on the book The Water is Wide by Pat Conroy, screenplay by Irving Ravetch and Harriet Frank Jr. and starring Jon Voight as Conrack. Plot summary: In March 1969 Pat Conroy (Conrack) starts teaching at an isolated school on Daufuskie Island in a South Carolina river delta accessible only by boat, in an area inhabitied exclusively by blacks. He soon learns that the children at his school have not been served well by the school system and lack basic skills such as competence with the alphabet and simple arithmetic, as well as other elementary matters such as personal hygiene. Conrack decides to redress these oversights but in so doing he upsets the local social applecart and loses his job.

This is a US 14" x 26" insert poster designed by Reynold Brown for the 1962 Albert Zugsmith film Confessions of an Opium Eater based on the 1822 autobiographical novel by Thomas de Quincey with screenplay by Robert Hill and starring Vincent Price as Gilbert De Quincey. Plot summary: In early 19th-Century San Francisco Gilbert de Quincey, uncertain about his future and feeling he has no self to realize, has a premonition about a predestined rendezvous as he makes his way through opium dreams and the Chinese underground trying to help slave auction girls being moved about among warring criminal gangs.

This is a 13" x 19" Egyptian lobby card for the 1969 Chadi Abdel Salam 102-minute color film The Night of Counting the Years [al-mumia'] based on a story by Chadi Abdel Salam, cinematography by Abdel Aziz Fahmy and starring Ahmed Marei as Wannis. Plot summary: This film is considered one of Egypt's greatest. A clan in upper Egypt is plundering a cache of mummies and selling them on the antiquities black market. The Antiquities Service eventually finds the perpetrators and their stolen goods after one of the clan members breaks away and reports what is happening. The lobby card shows Nadia Lutfi in her role as Zeena. As in this example, an Egyptian lobby card consists of a still mounted on a heavy cardboard backing with key art. In Arabic these cards are known as cartonat.

This is a rare 76" x 100" eight-sheet Egyptian billboard poster designed by Marcel to promote the 1945 Niazi Mostafa film Miss Bossy [al-anisa busa] based on story and dialogue by Abu Seoud El-Ibiary with screenplay by Niazi Mostafa, cinematography by Mostafa Hassan and starring Nour Al Hoda as Miss Bossy. Plot summary: Fawzi Basha made an agreement with his daughter that she must marry someone she loved because of who he was and not because of his money. Fawzi went bankrupt and moved into a humble dwelling in a poor neighborhood, where he wandered the streets playing a keyboard while his daughter sang. His daughter fell in love with a boy from a rich family. Her father approved of their love but the boy's family forbade his relationship with a girl who was a poor street musician. The boy stayed with her anyway and they eventually married despite their social differences.
