The Daughters of Eve (1961) - (Ahmad Ghadakchian) Iranian poster

This is a 27.25" x 19.5" Iranian poster designed by Dargu for the 1961 film The Daughters of Eve written and directed by Saeed Neyvandi and starring Ahmad Ghadakchian. Plot summary: Following a common pattern, a young man named Parvin [Ahmad Ghadakchian] from an outlying municipality looking for work and a better life comes to Tehran and moves into a crowded apartment building. He soon becomes enamored of a neighbor girl [Vida Ghahremani] who also has another admirer. Before long his rival falls in love with another girl and then the two couples marry at the same time.

Pictured is a 27.5" x 13.5" Iranian locandina-style promotional poster printed in Rome Italy by Veccioni and Guadagno to promote the 1961 Samouel Khachikian 105-minute black-and-white film Midnight Terror starring Fardin based on a screenplay by Samouel Khachikina with cinematography by Enayatallah Famin. The film was produced by the Misaghyeh Studio. Plot summary: Amir needed money so he could marry his fiance Mariam, so he worked in a criminal organization run by a man named Afshar, who printed counterfeit currency notes. The wife of the gangleader flirted with Amir but he paid no attention to her until the time when the gangleader saw his wife and Amir alone together. There was a fight and the gangleader and his wife shot and killed each other. Amir went back to Mariam.

This is a 23.5" x 16" Iranian poster by an unknown designer made to promote the 1960 Sardar Saker 109-minute black-and-white film Tomorrow Is Bright [فردا روشن است farda roshan ast] starring Fardin, based on a screenplay by Nesame Fatemi with cinematography by Naser Rafat. Plot summary: When a woman realizes her husband has come under the influence of a cabaret singer she changes her appearance and behavior in an effort to get close to her elusive husband again and bring him back into family life. The cabaret singer and her agents kidnap the woman, but the husband catches them with the help of the police and then begins a new life with his wife.
