Perseus the Invincible (1963) - (Richard Harrison) Italian locandina

Perseus the Invincible (1963) - (Richard Harrison) Italian locandina

This is a 13" x 26" Italian locandina poster designed by Rodolfo Gasparri for the 1963 Alberto De Martini film Perseus against the Monsters AKA Medusa against the Son of Hercules AKA Perseo l'invincibile based on a story by Mario Guerra, Luciano Martino and Jose Mallorqui, screenplay by Mario Guerra, Luciano Martino, Ernesto Gastaldi, Alberto De Martino and Vittorio Vighi and starring Richard Harrison as Perseus. Plot summary: The mythological Perseus fights his way past a variety of monsters and human adversaries, discovers his true identity as the rightful ruler of Argos and is ultimately able to meet and ride away with the beautiful Princess Andromeda [Anna Ranalli]. The movie has no counterpart with the fanged red-eyed dragon on Gasparri's poster design. The movie dragon is a far less imaginative oversized lake lizard; this movie is also without a kraken or any versions of quite a few of the other memorable Harryhausen monsters seen in the 1981 film. It is still great entertainment!

Cast and crew: Alberto De Martino, Mario Guerra, Luciano Martino, Jose Mallorqui, Ernesto Gastaldi, Vittorio Vighi, Richard Harrison, Anna Ranalli, Arturo Dominici, Leo Anchoriz, Antonio Molino Rojo, Roberto Carmadiel, Angel Jordan, Fernando Liger, Bruno Scipioni, Elsa Cegani
