Django the Bastard (1969) - (Anthony Steffen) Italian locandina
This is a 13" x 27.5" Italian locandina designed by Ezio Tarantelli for the 1969 film Django the Bastard AKA The Strangers Gundown written and directed by Sergio Garrone and starring Anthony Steffen as Django. Plot summary: In 1881 a mysterious, vengeful stranger rides into town looking to avenge the deaths of his Confederate comrades killed in a betrayal during the Civil War. It seems there are a number of people on his list; before he metes out justice to each one, he places a cross with that person's name on it in the middle of the street. One wonders whether the avenger is an angry human or an angel of death.
