Pictured is a 27.5" x 39" Egyptian poster designed by Mohamed Abdel Aziz to promote the 1955 112-minute Niazi Mostafa black-and-white film A Cigarette and a Glass [sigara wa kas] starring Samia Gamal based on a story by Abdel Aziz Salam, screenplay by Abdel Aziz Salam, Hassan Tewfik and Niazi Mostafa, dialogue by Abdel Aziz Salam and Hassan Tewfik and cinematography by Abdel Aziz Fahmy. Plot summary: This is a famous Egyptian melodrama in which the late Samia Gamal (1924 - 1994) plays the part of a renowned dancer named Hoda Gamal, who gives up the spotlight for marriage and is then driven to drink by jealousy. Hoda is jealous of a scheming Italian nurse named Yolanda [Dalida] who is working for her husband Dr. Mamdouh Samy [Nabil Al Alfi]. The tension is resolved at the end with the outbreak of a fire in their apartment that threatens the life of their daughter; this brings the couple to their senses and results in Yolanda's replacement as Dr. Mamdouh's assistant. Kouka, the wife of director Niazi Mostafa, sings the title song in her role as Hoda's friend and fellow performer Azz.

Pictured is a 23.5" x 35.5" first printing of an Egyptian poster designed by Dimitri, Studio Adly and Meftah to promote the 1951 111-minute Kamal Attia black-and-white film The Much-Loved One [habaebi ketir] starring Ragaa Abdou with story and dialogue by Abdel Aziz Salam and cinematography by Bruno Salvi. Plot summary: The musician Nabila [Ragaa Abdou] paid no attention to the admirers who gathered around her every day. Nabila lived only for her art and did not care for anything but her art and singing. Then a young man named Raouf who managed an advertising company [Kamal Al-Shennawi] appeared in her life and tried to tear down the walls Nabila had built around herself. He succeeded and she fell in love with him, but her wicked brother Farid [Farid Shawqi] did not like this because he had been planning for her to marry a wealthy man named Ghandur Bey [Abdel Ghani al-Nagdi]. The two of them fought over this; Nabila finally prevailed and married the one she loved.

This is a 34.75" x 23.5" Egyptian poster designed by Abdel Rahman to promote the 1955 109-minute Hussein Sedki black-and-white film My Heart Worships You ['albi yahwak] starring Hussein Sedki and Sabah based on story and screenplay by Hussein Sedki with dialogue by Abdel Aziz Salam and cinematography by Awhan Hagun. Plot summary: Soad loved Ahmad but married Zaki. Ahmad married his divorced wife Afkar again, but she soon became a problem for him. Soad was also having a lot of problems with her husband Zaki. Then Zaki fell in love with Afkar. When Zaki had a painful accident in the mountains of Lebanon, Soad separated from him and Afkar also separated from Ahmad. Then Zaki married Afkar and Ahmad married Soad.
