Plot summary: In the year 1946 in Port Said Enayat [Samiha Ayoub] is
involved with the smuggler Amin, [Hassan Hamed] who goes to prison.
When he gets out, he wants revenge and gets close to Enayat's husband
Ahmed [Imad Hamdi] and daughter Salwa. He is killed later; Ahmed is
accused of the murder and sent to prison for 15 years.

summary: Abdel Sabour [Mahmoud El-Meliguy] was a thief and a smuggler
known as The Beast to the people in one of the villages of upper
Egypt; everyone was afraid of him, including the police. He enjoyed
the protection of Redwan Pasha, [Abbas Fares] who in turn used him
during elections to eliminate his rivals. Officer Raouf Saleh was sent
to the village with his wife and son with the assignment of arresting
The Beast. However The Beast and his gang worked together from the
beginning trying to dispose of the officer and his family in any way
possible.

develops a relationship with the a woman named Shahira [Nadia Lutfi],
which ends in marriage after a few relatively minor complications.
The daughter Layla [Faten Hamama] falls in love with her piano teacher
[Imad Hamdi], who is married. This relationship is fraught with
difficult moral and social problems that are never resolved. The
younger son Mamdouh [Ahmed Ramzy] is more concerned with the practical
matter of earning a livelihood; he serves a vehicle for showing how
class and social issues in Egypt can disrupt productive economic activity.

Egyptian mediterranean resort of Mersa Matruh provides a picturesque
setting for this romantic drama. Adel [Hussein Sedki] was a young man
who did not know the meaning of love. He spent his time at
racetracks, dance halls and in the arms of prostitutes. While on a
beach vacation at Mersa Matruh, Adel fell in love with a schoolteacher
named Laila [Laila Mourad] and asked her father for permission to
marry her. The father agreed and Adel took Laila with him back to
Cairo. Adel's aunt and her husband were surprised by his sudden
marriage, because the aunt had been planning for him to marry her
daugher Mona so she could use Adel's wealth to lift her family out of
bankruptcy. On the other hand Adel's mistress Soheir [Taheya
Cariocca] had also been hoping to marry him. The aunt devised a
scheme to disrupt the marriage by accusing Laila of being unfaithful
and she succeeded with it because Adel believed her. He sent Laila
back to her father in Mersa Matruh. However Adel then learned his
aunt was just after his money and that the accusation was false, so he
went to Mersa Matruh to correct the mistake and bring his wife back to
Cairo again.

Soad separated from him and Afkar also separated from Ahmad. Then
Zaki married Afkar and Ahmad married Soad.
