This is a 14" x 28" Italian locandina poster designed by Mario Piovano of Studio Paradiso for a 1978 rerelease of the 1959 Howard Hawks film Rio Bravo based on a short story by B.H. McCampbell AKA Barbara Hawks, screenplay by Jules Furthman and Leigh Brackett and starring John Wayne as Sheriff John T. Chance. Plot summary: In the town of Rio Bravo Texas Sheriff John T. Chance has arrested Joe Burdette [Claude Akins] for murder, but he knows it will be difficult to keep him in jail because his brother Nathan [John Russell] is expected to lead an armed assault on the jail to get him out. The sheriff needs help.

This is a 13" x 30" Australian Day Bill poster for the 1967 John Boorman film Point Blank based on the 1962 Donald E. Westlake AKA Richard Stark novel The Hunter, screenplay by Alexander Jacobs, David Newhouse and Rafe Newhouse and starring Lee Marvin as Walker. Plot summary: Mal Reese [John Vernon] and Walker are gangsters in need of cash because of debts to the mob, so they stage a theft. Reese later tries to kill Walker to increase his share, but Walker does not die; Reese simply leaves him for dead.

This is a 27" x 39" Egyptian poster for the 1967 John Boorman film Point Blank based on the 1963 Donald E. Westlake novel The Hunter written with the pseudonym Richard Stark, screenplay by Alexander Jacobs, David Newhouse and Rafe Newhouse and starring Lee Marvin as Walker. Plot summary: In the City of San Francisco Walker participates in the robbery of funds from a gambling organization, but is then shot and abandoned by his accomplice Mal Reese [John Vernon]. Walker recovers and sets out on a long and violent quest in Los Angeles for revenge and the recovery of his share of the heist.

This is a 27" x 41" US one-sheet poster for the 1969 Arnold Laven film Sam Whiskey written by William Norton and starring Burt Reynolds as Sam Whiskey. Plot summary: Widow Laura Breckenridge [Angie Dickinson] persuades Sam Whiskey to retrieve $250,000 in gold bars from the bottom of the Platte River, where it has been submerged as part of the cargo of a sunken riverboat. Breckenridge's late husband stole the gold from the Denver Mint and she wants Sam to return it before the theft is discovered, so she can protect her family's name.

Death Hunt (1981) - (Charles Bronson) US one-sheet

This is a US 27" x 40" one-sheet poster for the 1981 Peter R. Hunt film Death Hunt based on a fictionalized account by Michael Grais and Mark Victor and starring Charles Bronson as Albert Johnson and Lee Marvin as Sergeant Edgar Millen. Plot summary: The film tells with significant deviance from the facts the true story of Albert Johnson, who was known as the Mad Trapper of Rat River. In 1931, Albert Johnson is a reclusive trapper in the Yukon Territory who witnesses an organized dogfight during one of his trips to town. When one of the dogs, a white German Shepherd named Sitka, is severely injured, Johnson takes the dog by force and pays its owner Hazel [Ed Lauter] $200. Hazel claims his dog has been stolen and leads some friends to Johnson's isolated cabin. A shootout ensues in which Sitka and one of Hazel's men named Jimmy Tom [Denis Lacroix] are killed. Johnson is accused of murder and Sergeant Millen goes after him with a posse.

Big Bad Mama (1974) - (Angie Dickinson) US one-sheet

This is a 27" x 41" US one-sheet poster using art by John Solie to promote the 1974 Steve Carver film Big Bad Mama based on a story by William W. Norton and Frances Doel and starring Angie Dickinson as Wilma McClatchie. Plot summary: In the early 1930s Wilma McClatchie and her comely young daughters Billy Jean and Polly [Susan Sennett and Robbie Lee] go from bootlegging to bank robbery following in the footsteps of her deceased lover, then another criminal companion named Fred Diller [Tom Skerritt]. After that they try kidnapping, hoping to get a ransom for the beautiful daughter of a millionaire. This film is a veritable bad-taste cornucopia of robbery, mayhem, road collisions, gunfights and sexual conquests filmed over a bouncy bluegrass soundtrack supplied by David Grisman leading the Great American Music Band with help from Jerry Garcia on banjo.
