This is a 19.5" x 27.5" Iranian poster designed by Davvalu for the 1968 Mehdi Amir Ghasem Khani film The Actor's Wheel written by Saeed Motalebi and starring Fourouzan. Plot summary: A small brother and sister are selling lottery tickets and one of them is the winning ticket; in circumstances where the father and the two children imagine a peaceful life for the future, the father gets in a fight, commits murder and goes to prison. The children do notsee him until years later.

Plot summary: The driver for a wealthy man tried to help a poor girl who was obliged to work in a cabaret by introducing her to his employer. The girl did not know the man's real identity but they became friends and eventually fell in love. Everything eventually became clear after a series of humorous events.

Shown here is a 13.5" x 19.5" Iranian poster designed by Ahang to promote the 1969 Abbas Shabaviz 113-minute black-and-white film The Prostitute [روسپی ruspi] starring Reza Beyk Imanverdi based on a screenplay by Abbas Shabaviz with cinematography by Ghodratallah Ehsani. The film was produced by the Misaghye Studio. Plot summary: Shahin, a wealthy cabaret owner [Reza Beyk Imanverdi], discovered Atash [Azar Shiva], a Gypsy girl who was beautiful and had a good singing voice. Shahin brought Atash out of her rude and uncultivated ways to fame and respectability; in so doing he also fell in love with her. However Atash feil in love with Afshin, the music teacher Shahin had hired for her; thus the wealthy cabaret owner and a poor musician became rivals in love. Finally after a series of incidents Shahin made his own arrangemsnts for Atash to marry Afshin.

Here is an 18.75" x 26.75" busta-style Iranian poster made to promote the 1971 Ali Hatami 95-minute black-and-white film Baba Shamal [بابا شمل] starring Fardin based on a screenplay by Ali Hatami with cinematography by Maziar Parto. The film was proudced by the Badi' Studio; it is a costume drama set in the late 19th or early 20th century. Plot summary: Because of rivalries between two neighborhoods, their local bosses Heydar and Baba Shamal clashed and then later became fast friends. After the disputes were resolved Baba Shamal set out to marry a girl named Shokat. Heydar was also interested in Shokat. To keep from disrupting the marriage Heydar decided to leave, but then cancelled the trip for the sake of Baba Shamal; when he did not leave this caused rumors and then there was another clash between Baba Shamal and Heydar. However the truth ultimately became known.
