This is a 13" x 28" Italian locandina poster for the 1976 Don Siegel film The Shootist based on the 1975 novel of the same title by Glendon Swarthout, screenplay by Miles Hood Swarthout and Scott Hale and starring John Wayne as John B. Books. Plot summary: John Books has gotten a second medical opinion that he has terminal cancer with only a month or two left to live. Books takes a room in a boarding house and tries to think of a quicker way out.

Vertigo (R1970s) - (dir: Alfred Hitchock) Indian one-sheet poster

This is a 29" x 41" Indian one-sheet poster for a 1970s rerelease of the 1958 Alfred Hitchcock film Vertigo based on the 1954 novel D'entre les morts by Pierre Boileau and Thomas Narcejac, screenplay by Alec Coppel and Samuel A. Taylor and starring James Stewart as John Ferguson. Plot summary: Gavin Elster [Tom Helmore] has killed his wife and needs to make it look like a suicide. He asks his friend John "Scottie" Ferguson to follow his wife. The woman Ferguson follows is actually another woman [Kim Novak] who resembles Elster's wife [also Kim Novak]; this helps Elster use his wife's body to set up a fake leap from a high place that Ferguson will witness.

This is a 30" x 40" Indian poster for a 1960s rerelease of the 1954 Alfred Hitchcock film Rear Window based on the 1942 Cornell Woolrich short story "It Had to Be Murder," screenplay by John Michael Hayes and starring James Stewart as L. B. Jeffries. Plot summary: Photographer L. B. Jeffries is confined to his New York apartment with his leg in a cast after breaking it while photographing a car race. To pass the time he watches his neighbors through their apartment windows opening on the adjoining courtyard; he begins to suspect Lars Thorwald [Raymond Burr] has murdered his wife.

This is a 39" x 54" Italian two-sheet poster using a design by Saul Bass to promote the 1959 Otto Preminger film Anatomy of a Murder based on a novel by John D. Voelker, screenplay by Wendel Mayes and starring James Stewart as Paul Biegler. Plot summary: Army lieutenant Frederick Manion [Ben Gazzara] is arrested for the murder of a bartender. He claims he was defending his wife Laura [Lee Remick] whom the bartender had raped, but his attorney Paul Biegler realizes the defense will claim Laura was the bartender's lover.
