This is a 13" x 27.5" Iranian locandina poster for the 1983 Mehdi Sabbaghzadeh film Senator written by Fereydoun Jeyrani and starring Faramarz Gharibian as Warrant Officer Haqgu. Plot summary: During the reign of Mohammad Reza Shah, Warrant Officer Haqgu finds some bags of heroin stashed in a truckload of wheat. He arrests Ali Haqiqat, [Bijan Emkanian] the driver, but he says he is innocent and knew nothing about the heroin. He says Senator Valatabar, [Saeed Neyvandi] who hired him to drive the truck, is head of the heroin smuggling and distribution network. Haqgu reports this to the Sheriff's Intelligence Office, but law enforcement allegiances are not what he expects.

Rooted in Blood (1985) - (Faramarz Gharibian) Iranian one-sheet

This is a 26.5" x 38" Iranian poster designed by Heddat for the 1985 Sirus Alvand film Rooted in Blood written by Mohammad Deihimi and starring Faramarz Gharibian. Plot summary: In 1964 in northern Iran a young man named Hojjat Ali Abadi [Jahangir Almasi] working against the Capitulation Law is supposed to go with Rasul [Faramarz Gharibian] from village to village. Hojjat is killed in an attack by agents but before he dies he gives Rasul a satchel with his political leaflets to take to the village of Kalarabad. Rasul, who has been wounded, flees to the forest and takes shelter in a thatched hut belonging to an old man named Shir Ali, [Akbar Zanjanpour] a charcoal maker who was involved decades earlier with Gilani revolutionary Mirza Kuchek Khan Jangali. Shir Ali treats Rasul's injury and feeds him. Road agents want to destroy Shir Ali's hut to build a road because the forest has been nationalized and the government has claimed Shir Ali's hut; they do not trust Shir Ali and are keeping him under surveillance. Shir Ali shelters Rasul and then helps him flee, but he himself is shot by a government soldier while they are running away.

The Russian scholar is planning to get to the Persian Gulf through Iran but CIA agents are pursuing him and special Iranian agents also become aware of the situation and take action.

This is a 27" x 38" Iranian poster designed by bateni for the 1989 Fariborz Saleh film Death of the Leopard AKA Marg-e Palang based on the novel of the same title by Seyed Ali Salehi and starring Faramarz Gharibian. Plot summary: In his old age when the Bakhtiari tribe of southwestern Iran is migrating Karbala-ye Zal (Kol Zal) decides to wait for their return in a cave. He recounts the courageous exploits of his days as a young fighter, for an old woman named Dalu Sangin Mah who wanders into his cave one night as she is about to kill herself. Dalu Sangin Mah realizes Karbala-ye Zal is the same Bakhtiari man who had been in love with her in his youth and had fought over her with the son of Abbas Qoli. By the time the tribe returns both Karbala-ye Zal andDalu Sangin Mahhave died.

This is an 11" x 16" Iranian poster designed by Bateni for the 1988 Mehdi Sabbaghzadeh film Lost written by Fereydoun Jeyrani and Mehdi Sabbaghzadeh and starring Faramarz Gharibian. Plot summary: Akram [Afsaneh Bayegan] has an argument with her husband Majid Ostevari, [Faramarz Gharibian] a bank cashier. Majid vehemently objects to her taking money from his wallet without telling him. She leaves home in anger, goes home to her parents and falsely tells her father Abbas Safarian [Jamshid Mashayekhi] that Majid struck her. Majid has also come up 20000 tumans short in his cash drawer at the bank; then he has an accident driving home.

Whirlwind (1985) - (Faramarz Gharibian) Iranian poster

This is a 13.75" x 19" Iranian poster designed by Heddat for the 1985 Kamran Ghadakchian film Whirlwind written by Alireza Davoudnejad and starring Faramarz Gharibian. Plot summary: The Americans blow up the nuclear waste buried in a village in Khorasan and the cows there are also killed. The radiation from the explosion cause a young herder to become afflicted with a serious disease and his cows also die. Abdullah and his brother's wife, also from the village, leave the area because they are afraid of getting the same disease. Abdullah takes his brother to a hospital in the capital with help from one of the people of his province. A combat physician reports the situation to the head of the hospital. The Security Organization and the Americans, who are afraid of publicity, decide to take the young herder abroad or eliminate him. The combat physician gets word of this and with the help of Abdullah and his friend from the province they kidnap the patient at the hospital and treat him. Security Organization agents pursue them and kill Abdullah's friend from the province and his brother. Abdullah is angered and smashes the windows of the leader of the American group's automobile.

This is a 38" x 53" Iranian poster designed by Heddat for the 1989 Seifollah Dad film Kani-Manga based on a screenplay by Seifollah Dad and Ahmad Reza Darvish and starring Faramarz Gharibian. Plot summary: An Iraqi aircraft crashes in Kordestan's Kani-Manga Mountains and its pilot gets away unhurt. A commando group under Captain Yavari is given the mission to capture the pilot. An armed Islamic Republic opposition group led by Kak Hushang also gets involved in an effort to save the pilot. The commandos clash with the members of the armed group and arrest the Iraqi pilot. Iraqi helicopters are sent to the region and get into an air battle with Iranian helicopters. The Iranians get the better of the Iraqis. Before dying Hushang admits that his old friend Yavari's brother was killed because of refusing to cooperate with his group.

Plot summary: In 1979 a train carrying fuel oil for the army is rerouted by revolutionary forces to a cold remote mountain area with a fuel shortage. The train is stopped on the way and the conductor and his companion are arrested, but the locomotive operator is determined to take the runaway train to its destination.

This is a 27" x 39" Iranian poster designed by Bateni for the 1995 Iraj Ghaderi film I Want to Live starring Faramarz Gharibian. Plot summary: Barbod, the only child of a man named Aslan [Faramarz Gharibian] who had separated from his first wife Mah Monir, had been mysteriously killed. His second wife Farangis [Fatemeh Gudarzi] was arrested as the murderer. Aslan assumed the task of defending Farangis, but she was sentenced to death. Aslan made every effort to save Farangis, but the only way to do that was with Barbod's diary, which would reveal Barbod's decision to kill himself.

Shown here is a 27" x 38.5" Iranian poster designed to promote the 91-minute 2012 Faramarz Gharibian film The Sinners [gonahkaran] starring Faramarz Gharibian based on a screenplay by Sam Gharibian with cinematography by Davood Amiri (Turkey) and Hooman Behmanesh (Iran). Plot summary: This is a police movie filmed in Iran and Turkey about the search for the killer of the daughter of a Colonel Farazmand [Mohamad Motevaselani] named Aseman [Bahareh Kian Afshar], who before she was killed had just returned to Iran from America and did not have a good relationship with her father. The investigation is conducted out by two officers, Major Tadayon [Faramarz Gharibian] and Major Ravangar [Rambod Javan], each of whom takes an entirely different approach to suspects and sources of information as they make the rounds among Aseman's former acquaintances and associates.
