Jafar Khan is Back from Europe (1985) - (Reza Arham Sadr) Iranian one-sheet

This is a 26.5" x 38" Iranian poster designed by Bateni for the 1985 Ali Hatami film Jafar Khan is Back from America written by Hassan Moghadam and starring Reza Arham Sadr. Plot summary: Jafar Khan, the son of Haj Akbar, returns from America. When his father sees his unconventional appearance he realizes he will need to use fire and water to make Jafar look presentable. The father's efforts are unsuccessful because the government gives Jafar room to put his ideas into practice. Jafar becomes an agent for making Jafarabad, which has been renamed as Newjef, into an industrial city and a space where the residents can be put to work implementing Jafar's programs making his ideal society. When Haj Akbar is unable to bring Jafar in line and learns he has married a American girl, he has a heart attack and on Jafar's advice is sent an asylum instead of a hospital. However the psychologist decides to look after him at home. In his father's absence Jafar Khan implements his programs. With help from the psychologist and the hospital doctor Haj Akbar regains his health and musters opposition to Jafar. After Jafar sets the people of the village against each other, the country drops the goal of being like America.

Pictured here is a 23.5" x 35.25" inch Iranian poster by an unknown designer printed by the E'an House of Advertising to promote the- 1971 Saber Rahbar film Rough Men [mardan-e khashan] [Pictured here is a 23.5" x 35.25" inch Iranian poster by an unknown designer printed by the E'an House of Advertising to promote the- 1971 Saber Rahbar film Rough Men [mardan-e khashan] [مردان خشن] starring Fardin based on a screenplay by Ahmad Najibzadeh with cinematography by Shokrollah Rafii. The film was produced by Studio Mehregan. The stone structure in the background on the poster is the Falak-ol-Aflak Castle in the city of Khorrambabad, Lorestan Province, built under the Sassanid Dynasty (226-651). Plot summary: Ayaz is hostile to Nasir's family so he plots to have the head of the family thrown in prison. Nasir [Fardin] sets out to get revenge but he is driven out of the city by Ayaz. Nasir meets a public gymnast and learns some strongman exhibition stunts. When he returns he kidnaps Ayaz's daughter and ties her to a wagon so he can rape her. Ayaz frantically pursues Nasir but falls off a roof and dies. Nasir changes his mind and ends up marrying the girl he loves.

This is an Iranian promotional poster designed by Ojaqian to promote the 1958 102-minute black-and-white Musegh Sarvari and Samouel Khachikian film A Party in Hell [shabneshini dar jihannam] with screenplay by Hoseyn Madani and cinematography by Enayatallah Famin. The film was produced by Film Caravan. Plot summary: Hajji Jabbar was a wealthy man reproached by his family for his miserliness. To get more money he wanted to marry his daughter Parvin to a wealthy old man and he paid no attention to the relationship between Parvin and his nephew, nor did he pay any attention to his son Hamid, who was in decline because of neglect. At the same time Hajji's health was also failing; one night in a dream he saw himself in Hell. When he awakened he came to himself and distributed his wealth among his family, and he also allocated part of it to the construction of a hospital and a school. Then he died.
