This is a 23.5" x 35" Iranian poster for the 1970 Saber Rahbar film A Man from the South of the City written by Saeed Motalebi and starring Fardin as Hadi. Plot summary: Ehtesham has rented his cabaret to Atash [Fourouzan] but now he wants it back. He thinks his nephew Hamid, a lawyer, might be able to recover it, but Hamid falls in love with Atash. Meanwhile Atash has fallen in love with Hadi.

This is a 27" x 29" Iranian poster designed by Heddat for the 1985 Mohammad Motevaselani film Mirza Norooz's Shoes written by Dariush Farhang and Susan Taslimi and starring Ali Nassirian as Mirza Norooz. Plot summary: In this comedy set in premodern Iran Mirza Norooz is a pharmacist who is unwilling to discard his old worn-out shoes and buy new ones. This causes the people in his town to ridicule him and makes him unfit to appear at public functions. His wife and children are no longer able to tolerate the situation. They have left him and made the purchase of new shoes the condition for their return. Mirza finally decides to buy new shoes with much bitterness. He tries to discard his old worn-out shoes, but they cause problems for him no matter what he does with them. Things get so bad for him that he is almost beheaded by mistake. He finally gets relief when his old shoes are publicly burned. He then goes back to a peaceful life with his wife and children, who have come back home.

This is a 19" x 27" poster for the 1990 film Enchanted Journey written and directed by Abolhassan Davoodi and starring Akbar Abdi. Plot summary: Dr. Reza Kemali wanted to make an outstanding student of his child Sina. One day in fear of his father Sina hid inside the family washing machine. No one believed what Reza said about what had happened to his son so they hospitalized him. He ran away and when he did this he fell inside the hospital washing machine, where he found himself in the fantasy world where Sina had gone.

Pictured here is a 23.5" x 35.25" inch Iranian poster by an unknown designer printed by the E'an House of Advertising to promote the- 1971 Saber Rahbar film Rough Men [mardan-e khashan] [Pictured here is a 23.5" x 35.25" inch Iranian poster by an unknown designer printed by the E'an House of Advertising to promote the- 1971 Saber Rahbar film Rough Men [mardan-e khashan] [مردان خشن] starring Fardin based on a screenplay by Ahmad Najibzadeh with cinematography by Shokrollah Rafii. The film was produced by Studio Mehregan. The stone structure in the background on the poster is the Falak-ol-Aflak Castle in the city of Khorrambabad, Lorestan Province, built under the Sassanid Dynasty (226-651). Plot summary: Ayaz is hostile to Nasir's family so he plots to have the head of the family thrown in prison. Nasir [Fardin] sets out to get revenge but he is driven out of the city by Ayaz. Nasir meets a public gymnast and learns some strongman exhibition stunts. When he returns he kidnaps Ayaz's daughter and ties her to a wagon so he can rape her. Ayaz frantically pursues Nasir but falls off a roof and dies. Nasir changes his mind and ends up marrying the girl he loves.

This is a 23.5" x 35.25" Iranian film poster designed by Luzani to promote the 119-minute 1973 Mohammad Ali Fardin black-and-white film Night Story [qeseh-ye shab] starring Fardin based on a screenplay by Mohammad Ali Fardin with cinematography by Mehdi Amir Qasemkhani. The film was produced by Fardin Films and distributed by Panorama. Plot summary: A young man thinks a friend's girlfriend is being untrue so he makes his friend aware of it. After this frustration and humiliation his friend despairs and takes refuge in drinking. Then the fellow accidentally learns he was mistaken about his friend's girl and that she had been true to him, so he takes steps to lead back to her; after a period of separation the two lovers are reunited.

This is a 27.5" x 19.5" Iranian poster by an unknown designer made to promote the 1969 130-minute black-and-white Ahmad Shirazi film World Full of Hope [donya-ye por omid] based on a screenplay by Saeed Motalebi with cinematography by Ahmad Shirazi. The film was produced by the Mehregan Film Studio and distributed by Fardin Film. Plot summary: A child becomes separated from his father and lives alone and without hope. As a teenager he meets a girl who like him has lost her father as a child. The two begin a great search to find the father and they succeed after a series of adventures.
