This is an original folded 27" x 39" Egyptian movie poster designed by Ahmed Fouad for the 1961 Sergio Corbucci film Duel of the Titans AKA Romulus and Remus starring Steve Reeves as Romulus. Plot summary: In the days before the Roman Empire the twin brothers Romulus and Remus [Gordon Scott] are raised by a wolf. After they come of age they lead their people away from the surrounding barbarians and found a new city, Rome. This is the story of the founding of Rome.

Hercules Unchained 1959 Steve Reeves Egyptian one-sheet

Hercules Unchained (1959) - (Steve Reeves) Style B Egyptian one-sheet

This is a 27" x 39" Egyptian poster designed by Wahib Fahmy for the 1959 Pietro Francisci film Hercules Unchained AKA Ercole e la regina di Lidia based on a story by Pietro Francisci based on the Sophocles play Aedipus at Colonus, the Aeschylus play The Seven against Thebes, screenplay by Ennio De Concini and Pietro Francisci and starring Steve Reeves as Hercules. Plot summary: Hercules is made an amnesiac because of water from a magic spring he drinks while on his way to Thebes to intervene in a quarrel between two brothers disputing the throne. He then becomes captive of Queen Omphale of Lydia [Sylvia Lopez]. Omphale makes Hercules her love slave, but everyone except Hercules, who has forgotten his own name, knows his days are numbered because Omphale will turn him into a statue when she's done with him. Young Ulysses [Gabriele Antonini] tries to help Hercules recover his memory while Iole [Sylva Koscina], the wife of Hercules, finds herself in mortal danger because Eteocles [Sergio Fantoni] plans to throw her to the wild beasts in his arena for entertainment. After remembering who he is and killing three tigers Hercules is able to rescue his wife; he then helps the army of Thebes repel mercenaries hired by Polynices. The two brothers kill each other when they fight for the throne after which the high priest Creon [Carlo D'Angelo] is made ruler by popular acclaim.

This is a 27" x 39" Egyptian one-sheet poster designed by Wahib Fahmy for the 1959 Carlo Campogalliani film Goliath and the Barbarians written by Giuseppe Taffarel, Nino Stresa, Emimmo Salvi and Gino Mangini and starring Steve Reeves as Emiliano, AKA Goliath. Plot summary: In 568 AD the Germanic Lombard tribes invade northern Italy in a murderous rampage of theft and destruction. Emiliano is away when his village is attacked but when he returns he launches a war of revenge against the invaders with the help of some of the survivors from his village, including his sister Landa [Chelo Alonso].

This is a 39" x 54" Italian two-sheet country-of-origin poster designed by Studio Paradiso for the 1961 Arthur Lubin and Bruno Vailati film The Thief of Baghdad based on a story by Augusto Frassinetti, Filippo Sanjust and Bruno Vailati and starring Steve Reeves as Karim. Plot summary: In the ancient days of the Arabian Nights the city of Baghdad is ruled by Sultan Ali Bejazeth [Antonio Battistella] but controlled on a daily basis by the evil Grand Vizier Ghamal [Daniele Vargas]. The poor people of the city are aided by Karim, the thief of Baghdad [Steve Reeves]. When Prince Osmer [Arturo Dominici] comes to the palace to seek the hand of Amina, [Georgia Moll] the Sultan's daughter, Karim ties him up so he can steal jewels from the courtiers while impersonating Prince Osmer. Meanwhile Ghamal is also interested in Amina and uses a love potion to try to make her fall in love with him.

This is a 27" x 41" US one-sheet poster for the 1963 Umberto Lenzi film Sandokan the Great based on the 1900 Emilio Salgari novel Le tigri di Mompracem, screenplay by Victor Andres Catena, Fulvio Gicca Palli and Umberto Lenzi and starring Steve Reeves as Sandokan. Plot summary: In late 19th Century in East India Sandokan is an Indian prince who has lost his kingdom to the English in an invasion. He has become leader of a gang of pirates who harrass British soldiers on a regular basis; this eventually breaks out into a full-scale war.

This is a 27" x 39" Lebanese poster for a 1960 rerelease of the 1959 Bruno Vailati film Hercules Unchained based on a haphazard composite of stories by Pietro Francisci, Sophocles and Aeschylus with screenplay by Ennio De Concini and Pietro Francisci and starring Steve Reeves as Hercules and Gabriele Antonini as Ulysses. Plot summary: Hercules intervenes in a quarrel between the two brothers Eteocles [Sergio Fantoni] and Polynices [Mimmo Palmara] over who will rule Thebes. During this effort he drinks from a magic spring and is hypnotized by a harem girl as she dances the Dance of Shiva. The bewitched waters of the spring cause him to lose his memory and be captured by the Lydian Queen Omphale [Sylvia Lopez], who is in the habit of turning her male captives into statues after she tires of them. Omphale makes Hercules her love slave, but everyone except Hercules, who has forgotten his own name, knows his days are numbered. Young Ulysses tries to help Hercules recover his memory while Iole [Sylva Koscina], the wife of Hercules, finds herself in mortal danger at the hands of Eteocles, who plans to throw her to the wild beasts in his arena for entertainment.
