This is a 27" x 39" Egyptian poster designed by Morteda Anise and Hassan Mazhar Gasour to promote the 1990 Mohamed Abdel Aziz film Hanafy al-Obahah based on story, screenplay and dialogue by Basyouni Othman and starring Adel Imam as Hanafy. Plot summary: Hanafy and his accomplices rob a jewelry store and leave the briefcase with the money with his brother Ahmed [Abdulla Mahmoud] before Hanafy is arrested. His three accomplices are able to escape. Lieutenant Colonel Sherif Barakat [Farouk Al-Fichawy] is assigned to the case; he arranges for a temporary release of Hanafy so he can guide the police to the gang's hideout.

This is a 27" x 39" Egyptian poster for the 1993 Sherif Arafa film Al-Mansy written by Wahid Hamed and starring Adel Imam as Youssef Al-Mansy. Plot summary: A businessman wants to give his secretary Ghada [Youssra] to a tradesman [Pierre Sioufi] to pay off a debt, but a poor man tries to save her.

This is a 27" x 39" Egyptian one-sheet poster designed by Azem for the 1987 Samir Seif film The Tiger and the Female AKA al-nimr wal-onsa based on story, screenplay and dialogue by Ibrahim al-Mawgi and starring Adel Imam as Waheed. Plot summary: Waheed, a narcotics officer, gets help from Naeema [Athar El-Hakim] and her young son Tamer [Maher Essam] so he can infiltrate a family of drug dealers.

Don't Be Unfair to Women (1980) - (dir: Hassan Al Imam) Egyptian one-sheet

This is a 27" by 39" Egyptian one-sheet designed by Gasour for the 1980 Hassan Al Imam film Don't Be Unfair to Women based on story, screenplay and dialogue by Faisal Neda and starring Hanaa Tharwat as Fatma. Plot summary: Fatma worked as a maid in Hamuda's [Sayed El-Sawy] villa. She shot him and turned herself in to the police. During the investigation she refused to give a motive for the killing, but it was also found that Hamuda was shot three times while Fatma had fired only one bullet. Hamuda had gotten Fatma's mother pregnant and then refused to marry her. Hassanein, [Mustafa Metwalli] who had been working at the villa and was tired of fulfilling Hamadu's every whim, was the one who had fired the fatal bullets after Fatma had fired her one shot and left the room. Fatma was found innocent.

The Terrorist (1994) - (Adel Imam) Egyptian billboard

This is a 53" x 78" Egyptian four-piece billboard poster designed by Morteda Anise for the 1994 Nader Galal film The Terrorist [al-erhabi] written by Lenine El-Ramli and starring Adel Imam as Ali Abd al-Zaher. Plot summary: When Ali Abd al-Zaher is hit by a car after assassinating an army officer under a directive from his spiritual leader Brother Seif [Ahmed Rateb], he receives medical care from Dr. Fouad Masoud, [Mohamed El Dafrawy] the father of the driver, who lives in a wealthy part of Cairo. While under the doctor's care Ali tries to conceal his contempt for the Western lifestyles he sees around him among the upper class Egyptians. The film was seen as an attack on Islam by many in Egypt; Adel Imam remained an outspoken supporter of Hosni Mubarak until the end of his regime in 2011.

Shams al-Zanati (1991) - (Adel Imam) Egyptian one-sheet

This is a picture of a 27" x 39" Egyptian poster designed by al-Khad to promote the 1991 133-minute Samir Seif color film Shams al-Zanati starring Adel Imam based on the 1960 John Sturges film The Magnificent Seven with story, screenplay and dialogue by Magdy Hidaya and cinematography by Samir Farag. Plot summary: Shams al-Zanati [Adel Imam] was an Egyptian rebel who fought British forces in Egypt during the Second World War. The film depicts Shams al-Zanati's love for and eventual marriage to a young Bedouin widow named Hanna [Sausan Badr], which begins while Hanna is working in a Cairo coffee shop and helping Shams al-Zanati evade British agents. The marriage takes place in Hanna's oasis village after a bloody shootout there between Shams al-Zanati's insurgent gang and another gang led by Marshall Borei.

Take Care of Zuzu (1972) - (Soad Hosny) Egyptian film poster

This is the rare original style poster for the 1972 Hassan Al Imam film Take Care of Zuzu starring Soad Hosny. This film is on Ahmad Al-Hadari's 2007 list of the 100 most important Egyptian films. It tells the story of Zuzu (Soad Hosny), a member of a family of entertainers and dancers who is studying at a university. Zuzu encounters difficult conflicts when she is forced to confront society's stubborn prejudice against those who make their living in the entertainment business.
