This is a 27" x 39" Egyptian poster by an unknown artist for the 1963 Niazi Mostafa film Rabea al-Adawiyah based on a story by Saneya Qoraa and starring Nabila Ebeid as Rabea al-Adawiyah. Plot summary: This film depicts the life of Rabea al-Adawiyah, an 8th century female Sufi poet and saint living in Basra in what is now Iraq. This was Nabila Ebeid's first film performance. The film covers her life as a Sufi recluse after she moved to Basra and developed a relationship with Essam Eddine [Imad Hamdi]. She then met the Sufi Sauban, who led her to the right path.

This is a 35" x 23.5" Egyptian stone litho one-sheet designed by Hassan Mazhar Gasour to promote the 1952 Hassan Al Imam 150-minute black-and-white film Whose Daughter Am I? based on story and dialogue by Mohamed Mustafa Samy, screenplay by Hassan Al Imam and starring Leila Fawzi as Nemat. Plot summary: Moharram [Mohsen Hassanein] is managing his niece Zizi's money; Zizi has killed her father with the help of Hamed [Farid Shawqi]. Galal [Mohsen Sarhan], the son of Moharram, has a relationship with Nemat and she becomes pregnant, but Moharram will not allow his son to marry her. She is obliged to flee the scandal and live with the blind Sheikh Saleh, where she has her baby, a girl named Samiha. Hamed burns the home of Sheikh Saleh when he finds out Nemat is living there. He kidnapped the girl and adopted her. Galal married Zizi. Samiha grows up a poor orphan without knowing the identity of her father.

Plot summary: Mabsout and Said [Omar El-Hariri] are two workers who decide to take a break from their wives [Sherifa Maher and Wedad Hamdy] for a night on the town. At a nightclub they meet two girls [Hoda Shamseddin and Gamalat Zayed], form affectionate relationships and commit to marrying them. Somehow their wives realize what is going on and disguise themsleves as men so they can look for their husbands in the night spots. The wives finally succeed in bringing their men back home.

Plot summary: A wealthy farmer owns hundreds of acres of land. He advises his son to marry his friend's daughter but she refuses because she does not want to marry a farmer. Her father pressures her to marry him because this will relieve him of financial hardship due to the money he will get after they marry. However the girl loves her cousin in Cairo who does not have money. The boy meets a dancer and and asks her to teach him the ways of modern life and how to interact with girls. He wants all of this so he can please the girl who has refused him. The dancer falls in love with him. Meanwhile the girl discovers the truth about her cousin, who abandons her after learning her father is on the verge of bankruptcy. Then the girl agrees to marry the first boy. The dancer withdraws from their lives.

This 35" x 45" oversize Egyptian poster was designed by Studio Adly and Mohammad Abdel Aziz to promote the 1961 Youssef Maalouf 114-minute black-and-white film Dearest of the Beloved [aaz al-habaib] starring Soad Hosny as Kawsar based on a story by Omar Gamii with screenplay by Youssef Issa, Ibrahim Aboud and Henry Barakat; cinematography was by Alvisy Orphanily. Plot summary: A pensioner named Ebrahim Effendi [Zaji Rostom] was the head of a family with a number of grown children. He was forced to hide a satchel full of narcotics on behalf of local coffee shop owner Khalifa Abdel Salam [Hassan el Baroudi] who was also a smuggler to get some extra money to cover his family expenses. When this was discovered by the police his engineer son Mokhtar [Shukry Sarhan] took responsibility for it himself to spare his mother Amina [Amina Rizk] the shock of seeing her beloved husband go to prison. Mokhtar went to prison for five years and the father died in sadness. When Mokhtar was released he was unable to find a job in Egypt so he took a job in Kuwait for a few years. The mother Amina continued living with her oldest son Abdulla [Nour El-Demerdash] and his wife Lawahez [Sherifa Maher], but she had to take a job as a maid in a hospital. Mokhtar returned looking for his mother. Abdulla suffered a burn injury, then recognized his mother working in the hospital while he was undergoing treatment. The brothers went to the hospital to bring their mother back home.
