Pictured is a 27" x 39" Egyptian poster designed by an unknown artist to promote the 1966 103-minute Atef Salem color film Revolution in Yemen [thawret al-yaman] starring Hassan Youssef and Magda based on a story by Saleh Morsy, screenplay and dialogue by Aly Esa and Aly Al-Zarkani and cinematography by Abdelhalim Nasr. Plot summary: When Mansour [Hassan Youssef] returns to his native Yemen after 12 years absence completing his studies in Cairo he sees public evidence of official brutality such as public beheadings and severed heads hanging from bridges, and he learns that the imam [Salah Mansour] is a tyrant who does not trust anyone who has studied abroad. He falls in love with Amna [Magda] a Yemeni girl and evades the imam's efforts to kill him. He joins a secret army organization plotting to overthrow the government which includes his Cairo friend Haris [Salah Kabil] and the plot succeeds.
