This is a 27" x 41" US one-sheet poster for the 1971 Al Kilgore and Chuck McCann film The World of Hans Christian Andersen, directed by Kimio Yabuki, written by Hisashi Inoue and Morihisa Yamamoto, originally produced by Toei Doga of Japan, released in Japan in 1968 based on the works of Danish author Hans Christian Andersen and starring Chuck McCann as the dubbed voice of Uncle Oley in the 1971 US version. Plot summary: As the son of a shoemaker, young Hans [Getty Galen] gets the job of helping Uncle Oley, who is the town sandman. Uncle Oley is also a customer who has ordered red shoes from his father. As the town sandman's helper Hans has a series of encounters that provide him with material he uses in his stories later on.
