Timber Queen (1944) - (Richard Arlen) Argentine one-sheet

This is a 29" x 43" Argentine one-sheet poster derived from a US one-sheet design for the 1944 Frank McDonald 66-minute black-and-white film Timber Queen based on a screenplay by Maxwell Shane and and Edward T. Lowe Jr. and starring Richard Arlen as Russell Evans. Plot summary: Elaine Graham [Mary Beth Hughes] is a nightclub singer who has inherited a logging company, but it is not doing well. Even so, the nightclub singer is now the Timber Queen, running a logging operation with the help of a poorly suited crew of city boys who are neither skilled at the craft nor accustomed to physical labor. Russ Evans, her late husband's Air Force buddy, volunteers to help cut the wood for a large lumber shipment to meet the troubled company's expenses; he also pilots a small service plane at crucial points in the plot.

Cast and crew: Frank McDonald, Maxwell Shane, Edward T. Lowe Jr., Richard Arlen, Mary Beth Hughes, June Havoc, Sheldon Leonard, George E. Stone, Dick Purcell, Charles Anthony Hughes, Edmund MacDonald, William Haade, Clancy Cooper, Dewey Robinson, Horace McMahon, Jimmy Ames
