This is a 13" x 27.5" Italian locandina designed by Rodolfo Gasparri for the 1962 Aram Avakian and Leslie H. Martinson film Lad: A Dog based on the 1919 novel of the same title by Albert Payson Terhune, screenplay by Lillie Hayward and Roberta Hodes and starring Peter Breck as Stephen Tremayne. Plot summary: This is a sentimental story about Lad the wonder dog, who wins the heart of a young boy, saves his companion Angela from a poisonous snake and then wins a rigged dog show.
